That wee Turkish ref was good btw ,apart from the obvious VAR stuff I thought he refereed the game well.
Booking SIssoko for not going off on the opposite side of the pitch was a bit shitty (especially as it seemed further to walk and would've meant the injured player waking all the way around the pitch to get off)

Thought I'd post this again

Spurs have progressed to the next round on each of the past nine occasions in which they have won the first leg of a European knockout match (excluding qualifiers).

Manchester City have lost all five of their European matches against English opposition, including all three in the Champions League.

City have been eliminated from all three of their previous Champions League knockout matches when they have lost the first leg.

I still have that picture in my head of Sterling running and celebrating that “5th” goal.

Pity the camera didn’t have a shot of him after VAR disallowed that goal.

Yep. The cards get wiped AFTER the game - he got it whilst the card rule was still active, so he misses the next game :(

What does that even mean?

He got a card during the game
and they get wiped after the game
so why doesn't the card
which he got during the game
get wiped after the game?

I'm in a cafe in Iraq where everyone has bet on the football and no one has any possible reason to support Tottenham. Everyone comes up to me and asks how many defter (local term for $10,000) I just won. Some guy there had bet 30k on Man City going through and even he didn't celebrate as hard when Sterling scored than I did when it was ruled offside. Though I had drank a quarter bottle 50% Raki by then.

The look on their faces when I said I don't gamble was fucking priceless.

HOLY FUCKING SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT BAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

his arm was definitely at his side and it was unintentional. ref wouldnt stop play anywhere else for that.
I think they've changed the rules, or are going to change them, that they'll rule out a goal if your arm scores the goal. Doesn't matter if it was intentional or if you arms were by your side.
