What has this to do with investment? This is about player mentality. We played them off the park in the first half and then go out in the 2nd thinking we can stroll to a victory. This is not the first time this season. Got nothing to do with investment

If you think it’s got nothing to do with investment you’re not looking at the big picture. The reason this team lacks belief and collapses in games like this when it didn’t two years ago, in my opinion, may well have a lot to do with a lack of ambition off the pitch, for a number of reasons. Some subtle, some not so subtle.

On train back to London. It was so easy 1st half. Needed to score 2nd. They were poor all game. 2 mistakes from kwp (experience?) and they score each time. Still not quite sure what happened.
Sounds like a replica of the Wolves game when we strolled to half time but only one goal up and they came at us full pelt second half to find we could not raise our game?

Fuck this shit. Off out for dinner and a film with the wife. Football can go fuck itself for a few weeks. Social media on sleep mode for the whole period.

The wheels are fairly falling off the bus these days. Poch and Levy are gonna look like 2 fools if we aren’t playing CL in the new stadium next season.

But looking on the bright side, we are sitting in 3rd place despite not investing a penny for over a yesr, we had 9 players involved in the semis of the WC so no rest or pre-season, plus we have had no home ground all season. Makes the prospects for next season seem pretty good really.

Considering Levy has not spent even a single penny in the last 2 windows, does anyone have any idea / opinion what our budget is likely to be this summer??

I have no doubt that sky game of the day at 8.30 will be us. At least I will be able to see if we were as bad as it sounded on the radio. Best time to judge your players is a defeat away from home. See who still performs when the chips are down.
I thought Hugo’s penalty save was going to be the turning point for us , obviously not.

Shocking again. Champions League May be out of our hands after the Liverpool game. Ridiculous from a few weeks ago. Decision not to invest after a WC was ridiculous (although many disagreed at the time). However players are clearly overconfident against these teams

Zilch would be my estimate....

Well what happened there then? I went down the park with the 2yo at half time, job done. Come back and we’ve binned another one.
Seriously bad run of form.
Ironic to hear the Saints fans coming back saying Poch still doesn’t have a plan B.
Although reading up, this one just seems far too casual, didn’t take out chances, too cocky? More mistakes at the back.
Same old

I think the name of the new stadium should be the Tampax Stadium
As i think the club will be going through a bad period.

Watford (a) & Wolves (h) - Both those games were 'won' yet thrown away by a lack of nous.

Again

Where is the problem? Is it the players or is it the manager or is it both?

Do you want to stick your head on the block and await judgement from the SC Mistra Know It Alls ?

For me it is somewhere between the two so both sounds about right.

Yet again, against a team that is fighting relegation and we lose more precious points, Do we really deserve to qualify for the CL next season??. We don't seem to know how to get rid of that illness we have called "inconsistancy". Lack of signatures during that last two Windows leaves Poch with a limited number of players. We all know that we are NOT a strrong in depth squad, and this is when it starts to show. Thanks ENIC and LEVy for screwing up another season for us.COYS!!!!

God it hurts and it hurts bad even though should be use to it! ? We are running out of steam big time and slap bang in front of two juggernauts in the Scousers and Citeh! We really will have to do something amazing to pull at least point from any of these two and to cling on for CL qualification.

What a time to crumble but so Spursy it is! Poch has been spot on with his assessment to be fair to him about perception and reality after today but the signs are there to suggest another dig at our hierarchy no funds , no chance. He has worked miracles on a shoestring to get us where we are and his and our frustration is having no financial backing to strengthen this. We have all loved every minute of his focus but maybe the lure of Madrid is stronger now particularly after another recent interview about his love for Spain. Psychologically like times before this is as damaging as it gets if we get thumped by the Scousers or Citeh then I'll know the wheels have well and truly fallen off but the start well fade at the business end is nothing new just a bigger pile ? for all of us to deal with from our rivals ?

It's about not replacing Walker and Dembele. It's about not buying players to put pressure on Eriksen and Kane. It's about investing in players so we aren't reliant on Eriksen. Not about investment, right. That's right I forgot fergie and the most successful man Utd team didn't invest every year and played the same team.

Actually, I think it has a lot to do with investment.

The best players have the best mentality. That's what ultimately separates the best from the pack.

We have failed to invest in players with the requisite mentality to make the step-up from also-rans to winners.

But the club will be also rans next year and the year after that and so on what in all honestly is going to change.

I said it at the start of this thread and unfortunately it has come to pass. The 3 week break will feel like 3 months. I’m gutted.
