Surely not a coincidence that the fire safety gets the green light the same week as a certain twisted firestarter is confirmed to no longer be a threat?

I’m not sure we’re talking about this enough. Tottenham Hotspur Football Club is returning home after almost 2 full years. We’re going back to North London. To a bigger, beautiful stadium to make new memories and lift trophies. We’re fucking going home, lads!!!!!!!!! COME ON YOU SPURS!!!!

With this monkey off our back, it's time to move out of this transition phase in the club's history and knuckle down to achieve great things.

For all the back and forth, it's really refreshing to know that the local authorities, PL, Crystal Palace, and Brighton have all seemingly been incredibly generous with this time table. To be able to potentially open on a weeknight in a local derby against Palace is probably not what the local authorities had in mind, but it will be a fantastic match if it happens. And then to be able to guarantee a European night within a week of opening is just beyond my wildest expectation.

It's been a long time coming, but hats off to Levy and the club.

Just goes to show how much bullshit journalists from The Sun to The Times have written about it. I’ve always maintained they’ve made it up. Good to finally be proved correct. Everyone wanted to help us. There was no 5 league games nonsense as suspected.

Does anyone know if we can sell tickets to the first league game before the two test events have been completed?

If the first game is vs Palace on Wed 3rd April, it doesn’t give much time to sell tickets to members, away fans etc if we can’t put them on sale until after test event 2 on 30th March...

Ok just hope the atmosphere will be rocking. I'll certainly be doing my bit. We really need to make the place rock

They sold 42k season tickets when it was a hole in the ground

COME ON MILLWALL! Typical that both test events and potentially the first game could be whilst I'm in the States

I'll be cheering on Millwall next weekend so that the first game isn't until I'm home :nailbiting:

Im very excited, I really can’t wait. It’s been so tough at Wembley, from the geberally poor atmosphere to the horrible queues to get out afterwards (the midweek loss to Juventus being a particular low, I wasn’t home till 0130am having just seen us go out of Europe). I won’t miss the horrible lot behind me who spend the whole match talking about anything but football, mocking/ abusing Sissoko, always leaving early. I won’t miss the ****s who prefer to sing ‘Wembleys a shithole, I want to go home’ as some kind of martyrous protest against the board, rather than actually support the team. I won’t miss having to tell my dad who’s on the ball when the play is on the far side because the gap between stand and pitch is three times the size it needs to be.

I will miss the club Wembley food and drink options, but as I understand it the standard non corporate options at white Hart Lane will actually be just as good White not better.

Can't help but think the timing of the announcement was to overshadow Poch's touchline ban announcement.

Maybe a coincidence, but it sure puts us in a positive way prior to Southampton and Liverpool knowing our next home game is actually going to be at the new home (providing test events both go smoothly of course).

Not to mention Poch's first game back in the dugout will be at the new ground.

Personally I want Palace first

2 reasons:
1. We get a week break before CL semi
2. Less demand if a midweek fixture so more chance of getting a ticket

Either way it doesn't really matter now which is great news

Less demand for midweek? If it’s the first game we could probably sell it twice over for all the people who want to say ‘I was there’. That said, half the people here seem to have arranged other things in other countries. Who does that during a football season, honestly...?
