Interesting stuff on a Dortmund forum saying that they lost to a team with double their budget. Do other European teams think we are a money club?

I thought German fans were knowledgeable, how wrong could I be?! Read to the end of the thread and not once was that perception challenged. No one said, but they sell before they buy or they haven't bought in 2 windows, even worse FFS! Not a single mention of our Net Spend trophy!

Why does that stupid ballsack even fucking post there?

Nothing good will ever come of an opposing fan posting on another club's forum.

If you post elsewhere then at least be respectful. You're in their home, don't drink straight from the milk carton & don't leave piss on the toilet seat.

I guess the amount of income we have as a premier league club makes them think we have more money than them and so we can pay higher wages, not unreasonable I guess.

I would never rule out Spurs being Spursy and doing a Spurs. Even if they'd won the first leg 10-0 and Dortmund could only field 9 players tonight, all that would need to happen would be one commentator coming out and saying "You see that spurs team? They're genuine contenders to win the Champions League." and BANG - 11-0 loss and out of the competition.
They can only function under the radar, they're so afraid of being found wanting when the chips are down that they remove themselves from the running early.
The bottling shitebags.

That's fair. Now, imagine investing hundreds of millions most seasons for over 10 years, all while violating uefa fair play rules unscrupulously and being backed by one of the biggest cash reservoirs in the world, and not once being able to even reach the CL finals. Wonder if man city fans would also call that as being spursy.?

They’ve obviously rallied up their transfer Ins and Outs and concluded that we have made a profit compared to their loss and therefore we must be in double their budgets.

Seriously aren’t we in the top 20 roaches clubs?

Fuck it. We are Tottenham. We took the North bank in half a minute
We took the Shed with the Chelsea in it
We hammered the Hammers
with carving knives & spanners. We took Red cafe with united in it.

Imagine spending all that money and still not even being the biggest financially doped, human rights abusing gulf-state owned CL bottling shitebag club out there?

As per usual, this thread is veering off topic...

Saintsweb (Pre Dortmund):

If we play like we did against Utd we have a chance of drawing or dare I say it, even a sneaky win. We won’t however...we will look sluggish, play deep, allow them to play the ball and basically gift a goal or two. We may get one back. 1-3.

Dele Alli could play vs Southampton this weekend
Hopefully he plays and plays as ‘well’ as he did in the World Cup!
A point would be huge, especially with a better GD than Cardiff as they'd need a win and a draw more than us just to go ahead of us over the rest of the season. (If that makes sense...)

Spurs have looked a little jaded of late and their title hopes are over. It's a good time to be playing them. If Burnley can beat them...
I think we have a shot on two counts. Firstly, they're physically spent right now and we can surely out work them.

Secondly, even at their best they tend to struggle against the high press - they like passing slowly and sideways along the backline and in midfield. We can hustle them into mistakes.

Obviously they're super strong up front, so it'll be hard to keep them quiet, but I feel like we've got a much better chance of getting a positive result from this game than we ever had going to United.

After a good performance against Utd last week you have to feel we can get something from this game.
But we are so inconsistent we are just as likely to get thrashed.

I cautiously hope for a draw.

Referring to MP's ban:
Shouldn't imagine it'll make much difference.

Seems harsh for a manager with an otherwise exemplary record - he must be one of the most level-headed, respectful managers in the game. I guess Mike Dean can provoke even the coolest customers.

Thought a slap on the wrists was on the cards. Would've been for Klopp...

Some more from the Saints:

Could really do with something from this with Cardiff playing West Ham. Think Spurs have a few players returning for this one too.

Absolute bogey team for us at St. Mary's since we got promoted.

And almost every time we've played them at home there has been a biased referee including our not so supportive Kevin Friend and the great ****tenberg!

yep, just the 2 draws and 4 defeats against them since promotion.

On that basis, going to predict a 1-0 win to Spurs, but no doubt we'll have our fair share of chances without really scoring. I bet it will be Kane who scores too.

Never feels like we beat Spurs at home...no doubt Kane will fall over in the box to get at least one penalty also.

They just finally drew a game. They will now draw another.

Been out of the country for a year(still not back) and this will be my first game back. But really all I'm thinking about is doing Liverpool and messing up their title challenge. Could be the highlight of the season.. As for Spurs I reckon we've a chance of sneaking 3 points.

We'll lose and I've got a bad feeling it's going to be a heavy defeat.

May aswell play the ball boys and the tea lady and putt Sammy up top because we won't win anyway. We never beat spurs.

1-1... If we're lucky.

I just can't see us beating Spurs, we'll concede at least 2.

As for the Spurs game, not expecting much. Hard to win games conceding as many as we do. With their recent form I just hope we can make it nervy, and not concede early doors allowing them to settle.

Sounds like I'm in the minority but I think we'll win this one.

'No Trippier for Spurs.' That's a boost - for them. He's been utter dog dirt this season.

Is anybody else getting pumped up about this game? Long time since it has been an exciting prospect walking up to SMS....
There is something here for us at 2-2

I’m hopeful of a good game of football I’d love us to win but a point would be great.

I'd take a point, especially if Wet Spam beat Cardiff

Yes I think anything out of tomorrow will be a bonus to be honest.
