Its like some people don't understand theres 6 players directly trying to stop everything Eriksen & Lamela provide forwards.

Both teams are bad, lacking quality and sharpness all over the place. The ref is not better either. At least we looked more interested at the end.

I think Lamela has been his usual self: good attitude, good work rate, pressed well, and disappointing going forward.

Marriner seems to be inspired by Olivers performance when we played Leicester. He was absolutely dogshit in the first half. Son gets fouled, gets nothing. Sanchez goes shoulder to shoulder with Higauin, and the fat bastard gets a freekick.

Have to say I agree with them. He’s an enigma to me. All action. Low quality. That said he has won back the ball with some good tackles. I just can’t fathom him. When he doesn’t start I want him to come on. When he starts. I want him subbed. I can’t put my finger on it.....sorry Lamela lovers.

I didn't think the first part of the half was very good, however for the last circa 20 mins of it we've managed to get up the pitch, moved the ball a tad better and had some pressure, and we've remembered how to press high and forced a few promising openings through that.
I still think we need to go up a gear in all aspects, particularly our use of the ball. I want to see more from our attacking players as well. Lamela and Son are putting in a shift but have been untidy on the ball often, Eriksen needs to knit it all together, Kane needs to just step up all areas of his game, shake off the rust, and get that yard quicker to be on par with everyone else on the pitch.....
