Only reason why I'm not getting carried away with the title talk is because of those 3 away games (City, Liverpool and Chelsea) that we have. I actually think we should beat Chelsea, but I can't say I'd be surprised if we lose at Liverpool and City.

Lets not even talk about a title race. We've got ourselves carried away before and fucked it up. Lets just do the old cliché and one game at a time.

Too late mate that horse has bolted.
The trick is to talk about it as a race not as a forgone conclusion.

Our biggest issue will be how Poch treats the Man city, Liverpool and Chelsea games. If he lets us go after them then I think we could potentially pick up 4-6pts from those 3 games. If we try to contain them ie not play our game then I can see us getting at best 1-3 pts.

In fact, Klopp has been lucky this season with his squad status and we have not, that’s the one and only difference. He has gambled on using few players often and gotten away with it so far. We have repeated an abysmal injury record, void of any luck what so ever.

But the press said they've had loads of injuries to deal with

Wanting us to win the league is fine but this needs to be tempered with a dose a realistic expectation to avoid the hysteria when we lose a game

I think the fact that we are getting healthier in midfield and at the back is going to really help. Offense may get everyone excited but ultimately defense wins championships, IMO. Be solid in the back as the attacking forces get healthy and we can give City/Pool a run for their money the last 2 months of the season.

Liverpool will fade IMO as they do not have the numbers to play their pressing style twice a week especially with their injuries and Klopp really does not seem to know how to get them to grind out ugly results. Expect they will have some more draws as they have recently.

in the 1st half of the season Liverpool conceded 8 goals, so far in 2019 they have conceded 7, okay 5 of those was in 2 games, but their defensive injuries might become an issue with Gomez as good as out for the rest of the season

Salah to be given the international break off just before we go to Anfield. I expect Mane and Keita also to be given the same luxury as they are in the same boat. Whereas all of our players will have to begin their Euro 2020 qualification campaign. Only Son will be given time off as South Korea don't have any fixtures scheduled.

Poch should push for the England boys (bar Trippier) to skip those international fixtures.

What's the general feeling on the Leicester match?

It's going to be a tough one, always feel like we struggle a little bit against them
Agree, but i'm optimistic that the players won't get ahead of themselves. I'm sure they know it's a potential banana skin with them putting 4 past us late last season, and if they didn't I'm sure Poch would have made it known to them in no uncertain terms. I don't like Wembley but i'd rather we played them there than at the King Power at this stage too.

Can’t see any of them wanting to miss representing their country in important matches

You're probably right. Still wish Poch would be more ruthless and make a executive decision if we're still in the title race in March and convince Dele, Rose, Winks & Kane to stay back. Honestly, the England NT owes Poch a big favor considering the amount of work he's done cultivating English talent. Plus the NT owes us for taking the decision to keep playing Rose and Dele even when they were carrying injuries they picked up during international duty.

Can he do that?

Well behind the scenes he would ask them to skip those fixtures but forward facing it would involve the players pulling out of the England squad with niggling injuries. Kane and Dele can claim that they need more time to recover from respective injuries, Winks could state his ankle is feeling sore and Rose has ongoing hamstring/groin issues so they could all pretty much drop a legitimate sick note

Well, that's because they count the self induced hangovers after the christmas party.
In fairness, Independent wrote this yesterday (as an afterthought):
speaking of Spurs, news flash: successive draws for Liverpool mean that Mauricio Pochettino’s battered and bruised Tottenham Hotspur are only five points behind the league leaders, back in third. Considering how many injuries have had to contend with, that’s quite the achievement.

If they were friendlies I’d agree even though if fit I’d not see any of our boys turn it down. Some see it as an honour to play even if it’s a friendly
