Mike brown was dropped by eddie and has come back to find his best form for years (it shows that some of his managerial stuff does work). Then not picking him?

Daly is a brilliant player but he is a winger/centre. If he has a bad start we don't have an actual full back in the squad (this is where I really scratch my head with eddie withy these calls). Nowell could theoretically play there but he is pretty much no experience and is another converted winger.

The other weird call is no launchbury (arguably our best second row). I really must miss what kruis does in the scrum or some thing because there is no way he is a better all round player than either launchbury all lawes.

Brown has certainly been better this season, but he's still not pulling up trees at Quins.

Does seem odd not to have him on the bench though considering he can cover wing and full-back, whereas Ashton is a one-trick pony.

I haven't seen much of Sarries this year so not sure how Kruis is getting on. At his best he's a remarkably consistent performer, but he went badly off the boil after the Lions tour.

If I was Farrell I’d be putting a few early ones up to test Henshaw. Dude hasn’t played FB for Ireland since his debut against the states a hundred years ago or whenever it was.

No Leavy to. Didn’t know that. Der Flier is good but no SOB or Leavy. No Tadgh Bierne on the bench either.

Where’s Kearney? Injured again?
I think he played at the weekend for Leinster (he was named in the team during the week anyway), but he's just back from injury. Don't know what happened to Henderson either.

I think Henderson got injured in the Champions cup as did Bierne.

Toner, Ryan, Henderson and Bierne are 4 ridiculous 2nd row options when all fit.

England aren’t to shabby either with Itoje, Lawes Launchbury and Kruis but I know which 4 I’d rather have.

Sadly wales don’t have 4 2nd rows like that but thankfully we have AWJ who’s better than all 8 put together.

Looking forward to the opener tonight. I remember that demba bamba guy from the u20's. They have a scary pack but I reckon wales should be able to tire them out.

Does Jonathan Davies understand that there are words other than 'overlap' and 'men over'?

He really is an awful commentator. Not as bad as Will Greenwood...but still bad.

I do love watching France. They're not always good...but they are entertaining.

Barnes also having a mercurial start so far in that I think he's got almost everything wrong. But done it for both sides so he's being fair at least.

Both kickers kicking like sloths so far. Horrible conditions so not sure why they're going for these long kicks.

Wales have been really poor so far. Really lacking quality at 9 and 10.

But it's only 13 points. They can get it back.
