Hope it's Janssen and N'koudou cos I'm sick of hearing about them every transfer window.

Get them gone
Knowing our luck it’ll be Eriksen & Toby
( before any of you get your knickers in a twist, I’m kidding ).

GKN and VJ leaving changes literally nothing though. As good as it is they finally fuck off all it does is improve our positive net spend and free up the wage bill(can’t imagine either are on a great amount).. neither are in the CL squad and GKN has played once in the PL.. unless we dramatically upgrade the likes of Wanyama and Llorente by the end of this window, we’re effectively 1 strong squad player weaker in the form of dembele and possibly 20-30m richer as a club :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Am I missing something? Because I’m sure I saw Dembele in China and an announcement from the club we’d sold him.

So we have already made space in the squad for an incoming transfer.

Trimming the squad is the bare minimum the club should try and achieve before the end of the window. Get Janssen, Nkoudou and Vorm off the books now and save the headache of trying to shift them in the summer. If we don’t see some targets being acquired then with the stadium completed and the squad relieved of dead-weight some serious questions need to be asked.
Vorm's contract expires in the summer

PL squad but not the CL squad as Foyth has taken his place. Given the lack of ambition we show towards winning the CL I'm not sure why we have this obsession with whether a player fits in our CL squad but it is a good excuse not to sign anyone else.

Join me brethren in not caring anymore. It will make this whole process a lot easier. We aren't signing anyone and its embarrassing...2 windows now and down to the bare bones. Unfortunately we have to accept it and move on

Am I wrong in the fact that I've started taking some kind of perverse pleasure in the fact that we're not signing anyone?!
I like us to be different from the flock.

Over dramatic I feel. Certainly not bare bones really. And yes I was at Selhurst on Sunday. If Poch had chosen to he could have played a stronger team. JJ’s info :cautious: does not really make that much difference. It’s about freshening up the team and the fans imo.

So ITK does seem to heavily suggest nothing will happen re: incomings

It's such a tricky one. On the one hand I trust Poch and I'm happy he has the power he has now. I'd much rather him turning players down than Levy simply refusing to provide anything. The latest presser was pretty encouraging in respect of his commitment to the club past the summer, which has been my main concern over lack of transfer activity.

Assuming our injuries don't stack up again, we should have enough to achieve top 4, so if we are unsure there is merit to keeping our powder dry.

Not signing anyone at all for 2 windows just doesn't feel right however. Surely it would benefit players and fans for there to be a bit of a refresh going on. Part of me thinks Poch is doubling down on his philosophy too much. I refuse to believe there aren't talented players out there that Poch could work with. Tielemans seems a prime example.

Stadium and potential sale does make the cynic in me wonder if we are being played somewhat. But at the same time I do believe Levy wants the best for the club.

We also could be in a situation come the summer where we have to replace Eriksen, Toby, Llorente and Vorm, before even looking at CM and full back areas. Surely it makes sense to try and do some of our business now to lessen the load in the summer. I'm not confident of us signing a single player these days, let alone 5-6!

All I know is that if we lose tonight the board, rightly or wrongly, are going to get some serious heat from a big chunk of the fanbase come Friday when we've signed no one.

It is an absolute failure on Levy's part that Janssen still hasn't gone. For the manager to repeatedly say he's not in his plans and for it still to take a full month to move him on - it's embarrassing. The days of other club's chairmen being "#Levyed" are long gone, imo. Can't believe we're only just getting info that Janssen is moving on. How the fuck can he justify expecting to get any sort of return from a fat lump that hasn't played football in so long?

He’s turned down transfers in the past.

It’s not obvious to me why anyone would put in a bid for Janssen. It’s not Levy’s fault Poch pushes for a player who turned out to be turd, got injured a lot and refused to move on when given the chance.

Fucking Levy. What an arsehole.
