Who knows but I don't think he'll make a sudden impact but still good news for us
It's not so much the player that I was overly concerned about, but more around Chelsea playing with a forward and moving Hazard in behind. I am hoping Sarri opts against Giroud as well and continues with playing Hazard up top.

That's what we should go with

Subs: Lloris Trippier Davies Wanyama Sissoko N'Koudou Llorente (Vorm, Foyth Skipp)

Wanyama will not be in the squad.

MoPo said: “I think it’s good news that Moussa and Lucas are going to be in contention and Victor has started to join the group''.

Therefore going by what he said, Victor is close but not just yet.

I wonder if Vic might get a few minutes against Palace. I know he's had a poor couple of years with fitness/form problems, but to see him anywhere near back to his best would be great.

I fear the pace and intensity of the English game might leave him behind.

Is Llorente injured or are people being kneejerky again?

He's not injured but infairness he's a 34 year old who has played barely any games over last 18 months, can understand why people think he's unlikely to start.

I don't actually, because people trying to shoehorn wide players into the centre forward role makes absolutely no sense for a domestic semi-final at all to me.

Well we've always been fluid when it comes to replacing Kane and Moura has played centrally this season so there's a possibility. Might be worth going for a front 3 that can press together but I don't think Llorente should be binned forever because of Sunday, he always seems to make things happen off the bench this season.

It's not like we won there for the first time in 27 years a few months ago by shoehorning wide players into the centre forward role..

So because it happened once (with Son and Alli both on the pitch and Harry on the bench), we should do that again with none of those three available? Llorente wasn't even in the squad for that match.

Trippier started that match too btw.

Moura will be fresh and is suited to the counter attack. Llorente is the complete opposite

Lucas
Lamela - Eriksen
Rose - Winks - Dier - Aurier
Jan Sanchez Toby
Gazzaniga

Not sure on Aurier's status, 100% fine with KWP there too. Davies for Rose depending on fitness is ok as well. Rest of the team picks itself, it's what we have left in the squad.

Is 3 at the back really the way to go at Chelsea? It usually means full backs play high up as wingers
That’s ok v Fulham maybe - though even there we looked fragile in defence in first half - but not so sure it will work at Chelsea
I would have a straight back 4 with a mandate mainly to defend
I would pack the midfield with Dier and Winks and Eriksen and Sissoko if fit and try and neutralize Chelsea. Dier can be third CB when needed
So 4 2 3 1 with Gazza Tripps Jan Toby Rose Dier Winks Sissoko Eriksen Lamela Moura
If Sissoko not ready move Moura back and risk Llorente
Not sure between Tripps and Aurier and KWP but Tripps has more experience of big games if he could just concentrate on keeping it simple and safe. Aurier’s head may not be right and KWP is a bit inexperienced for this intense a game. Rose or Davies? Could take either - Rose in better form maybe
Tough task for us but Chelsea have their own problems

Dier and Winks

Sissoko, Lamela and Eriksen

Moura
