Not really, Utd got in twice before and couldn't finish, we had the same problems against Liverpool.

Every tactic teams deploy have strengths and weaknesses. United played on the counter so we pushed forward so there is always the chance they would hit the ball over the top.

Without sound reactionary, it's games like this that make you realise how many players we actually need in order to go up a level. Don't get me wrong, we have an excellent team, but our midfield and striker really need more depth and we also need to improve our fullbacks. That's 5 new playes which at least two, if not three, of which (cm, lb, RB) need to be of serious quality. Considering how Levy does business this could take years to sort out. That's if we want to win the league.
And we should never mention winning it until we get that lot sorted.

When I said poch isn't tactically seasoned enough to go to madrid or survive the expectations of manure I got savaged.

But I only speak the truth.

So, you think he should leave Spurs, do you? Since he’s not tactically seasoned enough.

I missed that Pogba challenge in the game. He knew exactly what he was doing. Could easily have been a red for that. Filth.

I feel surprisingly calm. I agree we played well but in my opinion it’s no coincidence we missed so many chances which stops me praising today in any way. It’ll happen again, when repetition is apparent there’s an issue there. Not my job to solve it though.

Chelsea were the better team during the week and lost.

We were much the better team today and lost.

Not at all, its the opposite, because he is moving his feet it looks more simple, but to adjust like that that from close range is really really hard, they were good saves. Don't get me wrong most keepers will save a majority of the chances we made, very few keepers would save all of them. It was a very good performance by him.

I think the yo-yo first half people are painting it as naive, but ultimately Man utd are a decent side and they will have the ability to scare us. We coped ok, and we looked dangerous too and were growing into the game. We conceded a goal from a mistake, not on the counter, but in transition. We probably needed to keep someone else back for corners, but that was the only real issue.

We weren't unlucky, we should of won, we should of finished better and I do agree with your ultimate point. Its not unlucky to face very good goalkeeper. We needed to be cooler in our finishing we weren't today but we didn't play badly at all either. We were unlucky with the injury of Sissoko though. Which I believe did contribute to us conceding a goal. As our midfield wasn't adjusted. Second half we were almost very good, with Man Utd being forced to play like Brighton.

Feet or hands most of those chances were straight at him. None at a stretch. The Alderweireld one was great reactions, the others I'd honestly expect any keeper to save.

I agree Man Utd are a decent side, but if they are going to open us up at least let it be through a bit of quality. To keep being left two v two etc. or even outnumbered at times, fullbacks pushed on, midfield all forward, especially against their pacey front line is just asking for trouble. And to do nothing about it within the half is for me disappointing and a bit unacceptable actually. We've already seen a near carbon copy this season with the Liverpool game as a learning exercise. At some point you've got to demonstrate you've learned from it and adapt to what is happening and be a bit smarter. Not reactively change things when you're then behind and chasing the game.

Pogba challenge looking worse lol redknapp can fuck off that's red
It’s not even debatable. Totally wrong foot to lead with if you are going to use your body to shield it. It is malicious at the very least.

He was under pressure and he had Lamela and Winks in the middle square of him twiddling their thumbs instead of giving him and easy option. He still shouldn't have played the pass he tried.
Nobody should be defending Trippier. He does it time and again. He’s out of excuses now.
Definitely agree. The safe option is down the line or over the top of their back four but not sideways into a minefield. He deserves to be dropped not just for this mistake but other sloppy defensive errors that he has made this season; time to give Aurier and KWP a longer run of games.

I don’t usually believe in luck as a deciding factor in football, but I do think we were just extremely unlucky today. First half we were punished for playing too high up the pitch, but second half we did more than enough to win this game twice over. It just didn’t fall for us today.

I mean, you have to lose to ball to be countered on. Phase of transition is just the hipsters way of saying counter attack.
No I mean it was between phases right. We building an attack. The point is do that against any team you'd struggle. The goal was conceded from a position where we should of been in control. Not from a risky attacking situation, its was inexcusable. More a goal caused through pressing than a old school Man utd counter.

If counter attacking just means losing the ball than pretty much every attack is a counter attack. Transition is a word so hipster that its part of the official coaching provided by the FA. It just means a different thing its not hipster or not. You call an apple an apple. It literally means building an attack from defense. Or moving the ball from defense to attack, nothing to do with counter attacking.

Oh its Winks and Lamela fault for the goal now?, sorry my bad. There I was thinking it was because he made a stupid pass to the opposition.

Look at it this way, if Lloris had a match like that, we'd be going on and on about it and stating that he should take the coaching badges and stay with the club forever because he is such an incredible bloke and clearly feels very specially for the club.
