JJ has suggested that Isco to us is something that is unlikely to happen. And JJ is the last word in ITK info for me.
As long as they don't sell him and he ends up in a red shirt instead. Wouldn't be the first time that happened.

So...

Even though Herc has been quite specific, people are still running around like the sky is falling. Ok...

I, like most people just don't see Isco coming here, he's had chances before and turned us down. He'll hold off until the last minute waiting for city or another "elite club" to come in for him and either sign for one of them or stay and fight (again) for a first team place at Madrid, then we're out one of our best players with no replacement

Eriksen leaving is something I would find very difficult to accept whatever happens. That said, Isco coming the other way would make it far more palatable and give me cause for optimism.

I doubt it happens but I also don't agree with the sentiment of "why would he come here".

I've said it many times before with other big name players - he'd be lucky to get to play for Spurs. Perennial top 4 team in the PL, amazing brand new stadium, world class training facilities, one of the best young coaches in the world and the chance to play with one of the best young strikers in the world.

Equally considering the roller coaster time he's had at RM in past 2 years I'd think he'd quite like to become one of the best players at his next club, to be appreciated in that respect and a chance to settle in London.

It's not a hard sell......................................

...........but I still don't expect it to happen :ROFLMAO:

Don’t want to be a pedant, but JJ has laughed at a tweet, he hasn’t technically said anything definitive about Isco this window. He may have been laughing it off as nonsense, he may have been laughing with delight.

People seem to read into it whenever JJ so much as farts. Even if he does say something definitive, different people get different info from different sources. It’s pointless trying to rule things out based on that tweet imo.

If we don't get Isco I think we should refuse to sell Erikson to them. If he really wants to go, sell him to Barcelona. They would buy him just to annoy Madrid. Tired of Madrid taking the pi$$ out of us.

That’s all well and good, but they are after Eriksen. I don’t know who the fella you’re on about plays for.

This is another Real Madrid special where we come worse off with no player and him going to a rival. Seen this movie before

Typos happen
I was about to jump on this for a lack of apostrophe but, apparently, the plural of typo is actually typos and not typo’s as I assumed. This is a fairly straightforward example of adding an -s to the end of a singular noun to make it into a plural noun.

So carry on.

Eriksen has 18 months of his contract left.
We should keep him till the end.
He would earn us more in that 18 months than any transfer fee.
Fcuk Isco he had his chance and played us.

Isco of last 18 months has been abysmal. If we are not interested in him or turned him down, I am perfectly fine.
Eriksen though...IMO, he is the most important player in our squad, even more than Kane. Losing him will be devastating. Replacing him in a like for like player is near impossible.

Levy couldn't get a youth international from City (Sancho) when selling Walker, hence I'm not sure he could pull off Isco, unless there was no other interest or player desperately wanted to come to us. Isco has had opportunities before to come but turned us down and I think there would be other interest should he be available.

I appreciate someone on here recently suggested that Sancho wasn't interested but that contradicts what we heard last year.

3.5 years left and 700 million euros. Could levy be tempted? :cautious::ROFLMAO:

If this is correct I think levy will do a great deal if we swap and also get some money.
Also, isco is younger (2 months or something xD) but for me this would be a good deal because he know how to win and that's something spurs lack

Agree with this.
Would really rather Eriksen stays and signs a new contract but if he is set on leaving then almost swapping him for Isco wouldn’t be the worst scenario, Isco is world class just like Eriksen, we’d just need to adapt our style slightly for him as he’s a bit more of a dribbler whereas Eriksen slightly more of a passer.

I agree it's unlikely but not quite the same scenario, I think City were adamant not to sell to any PL club, whereas Madrid do seem to want him out.

In this case the stumbling block would be the player's other offers.

Absolutely no reason why Isco wouldn’t happen, if we’ve offered Eriksen a huge contract and it’s not about that then we can simply offer Isco similar. We’re a CL club moving into one of the best stadiums in the world, fantastic training facilities, a superb manager, based in a great city, he’d be a star of the team and would know he’d flourish here.

Which is why I fully expect us to sell Eriksen to Madrid on the cheap at the same time Chelsea sell Hazard to them for over £100m plus Isco on loan.

Does Isco even want to come to us? I doubt that very much.
And if he does come, won't he see that as a demotion? Will his head be in the right place? Won't he act like Mr. Superstar?
Can't see this working out well, I'm afraid

It’s a shame we’re still at a stage where we could possibly lose Eriksen and maybe gain Isco. To step up to the next level we should pray Eriksen stays and then you still add Isco. However my honest opinion, no way do we sign Isco.
