Snippet from Sky.

Tottenham and Arsenal are both keen on bringing Roma star Cengiz Under to the Premier League.
According to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, the Serie A club have already turned down a £30m bid from Spurs for the Turkish winger.
Barcelona and Bayern Munich have both expressed interest in Under previously, and Pochettino is seeking additional firepower to ease the load on Harry Kane.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is prepared to back manager Mauricio Pochettino with an increased offer in January amid interest from rivals Arsenal, with Roma valuing the player closer to £45m.

Don't know much about the guy. Where does he fit in with us and who's place does he take/compete with for?

Inside forward-type. We were rumored to sign him before he went to Roma. I guess he would play on the right.

I seem to remember the links back then. Was for peanuts compared to the fee talked now. I've seen him play briefly but not enough to comment on properly however we are well stock in attacking positions with Lamela/Moura who like to play mainly off the right side.

I only really see a CM or back up to Eriksen as key signings. Pity we didn't push the boat out for James Maddison - looks a real player and homegrown!

I really don't see Levy going back in for a player we could have signed for peanuts previously. We're on a tight budget and his isn't a position we should be throwing cash at either IMO.

Confused by this link. Didn't he only sign for Roma last summer? We were linked with him before he went there but assuming we never followed up our interest.

Looks very talented, quick, skilful and has a good shot on him.

IMO he's not what we need and I'd rather be spending 50m euros on a CM.

So we are at the stage of the pre Transfer Window where old links are being rehashed as there is no real information to support new links.

There may be something to this if Roma are considering a swap deal to get Lamela back. Levi would want his wheelbarrow filled with Euros and the Roma chairman's firstborn though so I think the odds are against it.

What is the need for another winger/AM, when we have Son, Lucas, Dele,Lamela. If we are selling , say Lamela, then possible. But can't see it

He scored this goal against Inter last weekend. Might not look spectacular at first but once you see it from behind you realise how technical a strike it is. Under is going to be fantastic player, he is a very clever footballer rather then being flashy. in many ways i think he is a perfect Spurs style player. But Roma know how good he could be and he will go to a big club when he leaves.

We missed the boat on him summer of 17 when we were heavily linked.

I'd take him over Lucas probably taking age into consideration, and I like Lucas.

"Ündertaker" is a technical player that always wants be involved in matches, i.e. he doesn't switch off. He plays RAM, does the simple things well, and chips in with his share of goals. He shot to fame at Istanbul BB and was on our radar for around £12m. Would've been a very good value-for-money buy back then, but his stock has risen and given his current price tag I'm not sure he'd be a worthy investment given the other areas we need strengthening.
