Why? The term spursy is not offensive or childish so why do you and many others dislike it?
I never said it's offensive.
It's mainly used by the virgins on twitter who think they're funny, it's the calling card of the moron I'm afraid.
You expect it from other clubs fans, but it's so fucking cringy when Spurs fans use it.

I personally thing the opposite. Expecting spurs to fail isnt something a 12 year old would expect, but instead a more seasoned fan. People say Spursy are at least in their 30s!

I suppose it's not just kids, but Spurs fans saying it is like when a woman refers to herself as a minger...just a sign of self loathing and really low self esteem.
It's pretty tragic imo.

He does. Levy facilitated the highlights of Redknapp's career, all his best moments, the years when he overcame the stereotype that he could manage the survival of small clubs, but not compete at the highest level. Harry's reputation rests on what he achieved with the Modric/Huddlestone/Bale/Crouch/van der Vaart/King/Lennon team. He knows it and he knows that, had Levy not asked him to do a rescue operation and then stuck with him, he never would have that to be proud of.
wonder if deep down he regrets his flirting with England which unraveled a brilliant season and saw him ultimately eased out of the club?

It was a two-way street too. Harry did some really good stuff at Spurs, steadied the ship and then elevated our level, played an important role in Bale and Modric's development, and his career highlights were also Lennon's, Parker's, Hudd's etc. Good times and mutually beneficial for the most part.

We have a great squad. Harry was bang on imo. The one position that needs strengthened is CM.

Bar that we're golden. We just need to consistently show it.

IMHO We need one possibly 2 CM's, a LB and a RB plus a solution to the Harry Kane conundrum if we can solve those positions with English or HG players then fantastic.

this is silly....we have the England RB, Aurier and a top English youth RB!

What?!?! That was Kane's best 10-minute spell for the last six months. Give me greedy Kane snatching at chances a bit over the one who never shoots every day of the week. Especially in that position!!!

I dont think he was greedy tonight but his shooting is off, guess its the lack of practice in matches hehe. Was nice to see him running at the defence again and getting shots off.

Could not agree more. Absolutely loved Harry's reign. Left me with amazing memories. Just seeing him on the show yesterday was great - proper manager. Simply does not get the credit he deserves, too many people deal with him in a "classist" way - as if he is H at the pub offering a few football thoughts. Was annoying to see that supercilious BT host p***k ask him questions in that patronising way.

Posted this on Harry's reign a few years ago.

Remember the good times, those moments that got the got us off our seats, the racing heart beats, the relief, the joy - the football, the reason why we support this glorious club.

Poch is obviously awesome but I will always remember those brilliant few seasons under Harry - the all out attacking mind set in the true Tottenham Hotspur spirit.

I always think that the game against Inter at the Lane epitomised everything brilliant about our team under Harry Redknapp. Modric with the skipped dribble and the pass threaded through to Rafa, the instinctive finish, Rafa and all of us looking for offside, the relief, the joy. Bale - he was 21 (21!!) - taking over. Ripping Maicon and Javier Zanetti, the dancing dribbles, the acceleration, the rocket crosses, the finishes from Crouchy and Pav. Brilliant.

The Arsenal game at the Emirates - 2-0 down. Rafa threading Bale through. Fabregas with the handball. We just knew Rafa would convert. Arsenal were shaking. Rafa's freekick and Kaboul with the flicked header. Wenger with the angry fling of the drink and Harry almost pleading with Rafa to head back.

Good times. COYS!

Completely agree with you. The club should be making the move right now, I don't want to see us missing out on any more players because we were outbid. It was mentioned that it's not our style to pay agents and be messed around, well, sorry, but it's not how it used to be and we may need to make exceptions to get deals done.

We always used to pay the highest agents fees pretty much.

Pretty average performance, a result all the same.

Still lacking direction. Hugo is a massive loss, these run of games have proven this.

Not a lot else to say really. Nothing feels like it's changed.

Agree completely. Great post.
Danny Roses goal against Arsenal.or David Bentlys? What a couple of crackers.
I agree with an earlier poster that we look like we've slipped back into a kind of AVB state lately.

Goes deeper than that too, they scratch each others backs. Harry signed a fair few of our unwanted players from Levy when he was at QPR ... including a crocked Sandro and soon to retire JJ.
Any fall out over the way things ended was quickly put aside for mutually beneficial reasons.
