Chelsea got our number 1 fucking target I have no doubt in my mind. Chasing Ndombele was foolish as Lyon were never going to sell. There are a lot of links to De Jong but even if those are true that ain't happening till next summer and we'll likely have to compete with Barca... Gonna be a long season watching this group in the middle of the field.
Ultimately the middle of the field is crucial, and we should have paid what was needed for a top quality CM. We can't expect to keep competing otherwise. Our transfer strategy only works if we keep getting shrewd purchases that work out.

I know what old dermot will say on ref watch. The ref saw the ball change direction so thought mane made good tackle. Would have been a pen with VAR.

He is now making an assumption that Mane played the ball, you should not make decisions base on assumptions.

Pochettino has lost the plot. I’ve never seen him like that before. Mourinho-esque. He does not have the history behind him like Mourinho does to start doing this arrogant bullshit
Very true he has never won fuck all nor will he at spurs so why get like that unless he is still seething over the summer stich up.

Don’t- just don’t. It’s just fucking weird that our weakest position was never addressed in a window where we were going into our new stadium and about to enjoy our third season of CL and the line trotted out was that we had to sell fringe players before we could buy. It’s fucking Shakespearean in its tragic qualities

Can we let go of the transfer window, it closed over a month ago, the football on the pitch with players games he knows inside out look like utter shite at the moment.

from the bbc taken from his sky interview

Mauricio Pochettino speaking to Sky Sports: "Liverpool were better. We competed, we were close, and the action at the end of the game was crazy and the challenge on Son at the end should have been a penalty. Then the result would have been different.
"Of course I am disappointed with the result but we must keep working and improving. Today was a competitive game you can win or you can lose. There are lots of games ahead.
"There are lots of things to assess and analyse - it's early in the season and this is a moment to be cool and calm. Is this a tough time? Listen, don't worry about me!"

Nothing wrong with that? Or just me

About that stadium...

I was just thinking about the fringe players.. Even fucking Everton sent that forward to the reserves a few years ago cause they were never going to play him.

He'll be a fool not to. Son and moura up front and we'll see our full potential. Playing Kane right now means we effectively field a ten man side
With a front 3 of Lamela, Son & Moura we have a very fast and scary frontline - Liverpool have shown that you can scare defences with pace and guile. That should be our go to plan B. We wouldn't have to rely so much on marauding wing-backs being so high up then. People can say that it would negate our high press, I say our high press is coming undone right now.

You are right fella but it has had an undeniable impact on the club a stich up of monumental proportions but yes I hear your argument.

How is Poch going to make Dembele/Winks/Dier better over night?
It's a question of managing players that make consistent errors, better.

Irt starting them, monitoring confidence levels and reading and tracking their game.

We should bring Amos in more and stir things up and I still think Foyth would turn out to be a very handy DM if given the opportunity.

Give players something to think about and motivation to sharpen their concentration and attitude.

In lieu of replacing them - which we're clearly not going to this season - I'd attempt the above.
