Just saw this and thought it was interesting.

If those figures are correct before his last injury he was having 5.62 shots per game and post injury he only has 2.58

Quite a difference, less than half the amount of shots that he was having

Will make a difference to the amount of goals he scores previously to now

Is this the new thing? People whack stuff into graphs that dont say anything, look kind of complicated but actually communicate no meaningful information on social media so people can retweet and appear like they know things?

And dont tell me to go to the Lucas Moura thread, ive got issues in that one too, fucking spikey cheese-ring graph bullshit i have no forgiven yet.
This is what happens when nerds get into football....they should stick to those board games with 20 sided dice.

Since his injury. I can’t remember him scoring any spectacular goals like he did against Dortmund, Huudersfield and Everton early last season. He curled one in against Leicester at Wembley but he has cut down on his shots from outside the box.

Should please the critics who said he was too greedy and didn’t pass to team mates then! ?

Scored a great goal against Newcastle.

Yeah I posted the top speed stats, they were legit as far as I’m aware. Gonna have to ditch my nursing an injury theory. Can’t see anyway he’d be involved last night if he was nursing some injury, unless he’d kept it to himself which wouldn’t surprise me.

I suppose it could be like fast bowlers, they come in and start at 90mph+ then after doing the grind of the test curcuit for a few years their pace just dies.

Until he can have a proper break and pre-season i can't see him recovering that lost pace.

It's not like he's not trying to sprint, the speed's just not there when he does.

Hopefully Sonny back now and Moura playing a more advanced role can take some of the burden off Harry.

Good to see Harry getting a rest tonight. Gives him more time to hit the weights!!

Those of us who have all watched him game in game out can clearly see something is up going way back to when he came back very early from his last injury

Maybe he’s bulked up too much. Maybe he’s mentally or physically tired. Maybe the ankle niggles him.

I don’t buy the idea that he’s been found out or given even less time

The oddest thing for me is the difference in the number of long range shots per game he has these days which for me points to the ankle

Would love to see some stats pre and post injury

Very much hope this is just a result of never getting a break and rushing back, and not something that cannot be remedied with time.. would be just our luck

Shots are definitely down majorly something like from 6 to 2.5. One of the stranger anomalies. You clearly see moments where you’d expect him to shoot but he passes. I did actually post a stat on it few pages back that it hasn’t actually effected our total goals scored over the period.

I think he is making a conscious effort to be less selfish (something that was labelled against him in previous seasons) but he does seem to have gone the other way, passing when the pass on wasn't that much of an opportunity and he could've scored himself.

Hopefully the balance will come, but i much prefer a single minded Harry that's all about the goals., Sure if someone can be simply rolled in for a tap into an empty net then pass, but Everything else is yours Harry! You have my permission to shoot :D

Id love it if Lovren played so Harry can just twist and turn one of the "best defenders in the world" - fuckin twat

In all honesty, he does look shattered mentally and physically but hope he hammers a hat-trick on Saturday

The more the media go on about it, the more danger there is of him believing it!

Be very interesting to see how he reacts on Saturday. Now the talk is everywhere the old Kane would come out all guns blazing. Let’s see what happens. If he’s still trundling round the pitch on Saturday I’ll be slightly baffled what’s going on.

So funny when you read the first few pages of this thread. Imagine the odds you’d have got on him being PL x2 golden boot and World Cup golden boot having just turned 25 after x4 full seasons astonishing. Many seriously don’t appreciate what he’s actually already achieved.

Craig Bellamy and Danny Murphy are currently discussing Harry Kane on Sky Sports “The Debate”. Both are talking a lot of sense, especially Bellamy.

They agree that he is fatigued and should have been rested against Switzerland. Bellamy is worried that the lack of rest will lead to an injury.
