It's like people want Aurier to fail.

Others make mistakes too but we like them so we'll pretend like we didn't see it.

Rubbish.

Its tricky. I see it like a scale. For a player to be somewhat exempt from criticism they need to be doing more good than bad for sustained periods.

If the reverse is true that player becomes a target for criticism and that's what we are seeing with Aurier and Sissoko.

Aurier is an accident waiting to happen in a back four. He just cannot defend and his positioning is non existent. Needs to be playing as a wing-back with 3 at the back. Great cross for the goal??

Newcastle are here for the taking but we’ve been so wasteful and careless that we’ll be the architects of our own downfall.

Aurier just far too erratic for my liking

Watch the youtubes of Aurier from his PSG days. Full of rash tackles. Awful buy.

I have nothing against Serge. I loved his bullish talk in the summer and was wondering what a proper pre season might do to him

Based on this 45mins and last season of course he has some structural flaws to his game that look like they may be very hard to coach out and will continue to overshadow the talent he has

We have a better all round prospect in KWP - I think it’s his time

This is a typical game where we should comfortably win but there's also a decent chance we'll do something fucking stupid/unforced and not come away with all the points.

A rusty half as to be expected, but good enough to lead.

Need a lot more from Eriksen, who has been awful imo, and Kane.

sissoko causing problems all over the pitch, namely for aurier, and any other spurs players on the right side..
Newcastle are just shit and we should be winning 4-0 that goal we gave them was disgusting, 2 WORLD CLASS central defenders and sissoko just stood around in the penaly box marking noone..

Credit where credit is due for the cross, but Aurier is a truly atrocious footballer. Him and Sissoko are incapable of passing the ball without rifling it into the shins of our players.

To be honest I'm really most disappointed in Lucas. Never seems to be in the right place and just not really helping the team at all. He's certainly not been the worset player out there, but has been a ghost. I was really hoping he would grab the game by the scruff of the neck after pre season. Hope he sorts it out second half.

Sissoko is certainly not my favourite player but I have mad respect for him. He is out there giving 100% and not shying away from the ball whilst probably aware both sets of fans dislike him and Newcastle particular are booing him.
He’s been perfectly solid doing his role just like last year and still the same old “fans” whinge and moan.
