I feel sorry for you. I am just happy with our world cup captain kepper, our golden boot striker and our frankly brilliant squad that have been kept together and know each others games. Still let's take a punt and have to play someone shit who hasn't trained with the squad.
You won’t call the squad brilliant when Sissoko and an out of form Winks start in midfield against Liverpool on the first day in the new stadium.

Come on there’s every right to be angry with this. The whole £150m war chest was a lie
Being brave my arse.

Because the rest of the top 6 have between 1.5 - 2.5 times as much money as us. It isn't hard to understand.

We can't splash the cash like some, but we got money. The other top 5 can't buy every player in the world. How do other European clubs buy top players when we're richer. What don't you understand?

Don't worry I'm sure they'll be plenty of ITK leaked after the January window closes and around the time season tickets are due to be renewed that we'll be spending big in the summer.

That isn't a dig at the ITK's I totally understand they are fed information

Not really. We need to shift some by the end of the month regardless otherwise there's little-to-no hope of us being able to sign players in January.

Don’t get your hopes up about January signings. Here I’ll save us all the trouble.

Prices are vastly inflated in January.
Much better value to be had in the summer.
X club don’t want to lose their best player.
We’ll be back on July 1st to sign him so he has a full pre-season.

That's what I don't get. Everyone is pretty much happy to acknowledge that those type of signings have created a large problem for us. We've had to play them despite poor performances and instead of youth talents to try and get someone to take them. Now nobody is taking them and it's preventing us from bringing in replacements. It's possibly cost us youth players like Bennet staying, and now it's costing us oppourtunities in the transfer market. But people are upset we aren't bringing in yet more of them?

I'd honestly be asking two questions about any signing. One, are they under 21 or so? Two, are they likely to be good enough to go straight into the first XI, or at least very close to it? If the answer to No is both, I'd rather not have them, especially not in this market.

Frankly yes, it is asking a lot. To bring in players good enough for a side among the top 10 in the world right now, on our resources, is not really possible - anyone clearly good enough for such a role will be offered double the wages somewhere else.

FFS.

Liverpool finished in 4th and made the final of the Champions League - and Klopp got the support from his chairman to go out early in the window and pay the market value for the players that he wanted to address his team's weaknesses (plus got some great value in Shaquiri).

Yet, somehow we are incapable of doing that despite qualifying for the Champions League windfall for the last 3 seasons.

Explain that.

No, but even they are struggling. I think the only club out of them all happy with how the window's gone is Liverpool, and they've apparently done that by spending way over the odds and taking a large risk.
