Nah. That's how we've ended up with deadwood to shift. It sounds like you just want any signing regardless of quality.
That’s not true, look at how we got Dier, Wanyama, Dele etc.
Even Salah was a bit of a question mark before Liverpool got him.

People haven’t been doing their jobs at the club.

Looking forward to when everyone realises that our players can still leave after 5pm.....just not to Prem.
Nail biting.

Because we haven’t signed at least one player and I along with numerous other fans are fuming. This is embarrassing, I wouldn’t even want to come face to face with any of my mates now.

At least taking a punt on someone, with A chance of the player improving and proving us wrong is better than no one.

How do they expect us to want to spend money if we don’t see it being invested into the team?

I feel sorry for you. I am just happy with our world cup captain keeper, our golden boot striker and our frankly brilliant squad that have been kept together and know each others games. Still let's take a punt and have to play someone shit who hasn't trained with the squad.

Tbh Levy has played a stormer. Give it a few weeks and all focus will be on the stadium and people will have moved attention away from us not signing anyone.
Levy has rolled the dice, he needs a lot of our flops to come good, if we struggle this season in our new stadium he may have created a toxic atmosphere when we could all have been holding hands and singing Kumbaya had he splashed a little of those 'use for buying property only pots' he's been stacking.

What is the obsession with him by some on here  - he has literally done nothing to prove he is ready for the step up to compete in our midfield.

No other club in the top 6 would rely on their youth players for a season. Youth players are supposed to be integrated slowly into the team, supplemented by quality additions. Not every youth player will turn out like Dele, and it could be a harsh baptism of fire for them, if things don't go to plan.

It's not just him. Maybe we'll give him a shot and he won't work out, that's fine, you can give someone else a go. But if you never give him a chance you don't know. Kane had done nothing to suggest he was going to be the best "Number 9" in the world until we gave him a run of games. If we sign Grealish and he doesn't work out, we're not in a position to drop him, and we will have no idea whether Onomah or any of the others is the next Phil Ifil, Bentaleb or Kane.

This isn't a very fair argument. You've just (mostly) listed all the players who didn't make the cut for first 11 and left out the ones who did (n)
Only ones I cut at all are youth signings like Foyth who haven't worked yet but I don't think it's fair to judge, and two players in Toby and Sanchez who were big money for the time, clearly intended for the first XI, and stayed there. I don't have a problem with those signings if they're (big if). But signing players where the expectation is that they'll be good backup or rotation options doesn't have a good track record at all.

And at that point, we'll be quite literally weakening our squad

If we don't want them, it's not weakening the squad. It's preparation for future spending.

If we sell the surplus and use it to give Eriksen a new contract, that's strengthening.
