As the window draws to an end I’m still curious what happened to the ITK from the Jan window about big things in the pipeline and multiple big announcements into the summer (or am I imagining it)

I remember at the start of the day when we had multiple ITK that was generally positive.
That was good.

Since then we've what... had negative ITK about Villa being dicks but still the feeling that we'll get Grealish over the line.

Plus nothing to say we might land another signing as well.

I may be wrong but looking at what's been said ITK wise and all I'm still leaning towards a busy and hectic but generally good day tomorrow.

But fuck me I can't wait till we're back to just playing football.
Been burnt too many times. It's not that information is wrong it's more the fact that stuff happens and we either walk away or have got too clever and other options are no longer available. That's what always worries me.

It’s one thing we don’t seem any closer to signing anyone!

Worse still we can’t even shift the deadwood Vj GNK llorente to name three Jesus we really are in a pickle

Agree. And then all the naysayers can just get back to moaning about Poch's tactics and player selections in the match threads. No pleasing some, ever.

It is VERY quiet though. Calm before the storm and other cliches?!

It does look increasingly likely we are going to do little or no business now. I can understand Why - we've not managed to shift deadwood or valuable assets to free up squad places. Levy isn't going to just add a few extra big earners without reducing wages elsewhere or the number just don't stack up. There has to be accountability for not shifting players though - some of them are very talented and I can't understand why they haven't found a new club when many clubs are flush with cash.

I think the most disappointing part is ITK was so positive early summer about quick business and serious strengthening - such a different outcome and I can see fans finding it difficult to swallow unless something special happens tomorrow.

We're no worse off, but bearing in mind we just about squeezed 3rd last season, I can't see us closing the gap to the top...more worried about players leaving next summer unless we cement a CL place again.

Busy and hectic last day always turns into: "Its hard getting deals across at the last moment because the selling teams want time to get a replacement in before they agree to sell."

As long as you shop abroad there is plenty of time.

The fact that none of this materialised should answer your question.

IF.....if we don't bring any quality in, and i stupidly still believe we will as ii have been a spurs fan far too long...

....Then we certainly will be missing a fabulous opportunity to attract real quality, never have we been such an attraction what with CL football, the new stadium, Poch and the positivity from all the WC exposure....we may regret this one day, we may never be in such a position again.

I think we are incredibly tight for money at the moment. Does not take a genius to work out that we are pulling out all of the stops financially to get the stadium finished.

That is what i believe, but i wished they'd admit to it.

I think the failure to secure naming right for the stadium has to do with it.

Astonished there's still no clear developments yet.

Window shuts at 5.00 tomorrow, so it's not even a typical deadline day, more like a half day.

Grealish is our only hope for a signing now.

I really hope we keep Toby, we'll have great depth defensively if we do. That's what I'm praying for now.
