Tottenham Hotspur asked Napoli for midfielder Amadou Diawara, it’s reported, but Carlo Ancelotti wants to keep him.
The Guinean turns 21 next month and has long been of interest to the Premier League club, even when he was still at Bologna.
According to Sportitalia, Spurs made an approach to see if Diawara is available this summer.
However, new Coach Ancelotti is determined to keep hold of the youngster.
He had precious little playing time under Maurizio Sarri this season, contributing two goals with one assists in 27 competitive games.
