I missed the game so have recorded the BT highlights for later on today. Reading this thread from page 18 to now has been enjoyable after knowing the result.

If simeone was sent off I’m assuming he won’t be in the dugout for the second leg. Could that impact the game?

It’s actually 4 in the league, 9 in all competitions

They're 2nd in La Liga with only 18 conceeded but they've only managed to score 54 goals. Not the entertaining lot this team :ROFLMAO:

Agreed but I think it's difficult due to our style, they don't play as high up the pitch as us and aren't as susceptible to counter attacks like we are.
I think more of our goals conceded come from us having the ball in and around our goal area and fkin it up rather than being hit on the counter.
We dont clear it when under pressure and if our keeper has the ball, well thats when my ass really nips up.
May just be my perception but its not just us either. Everyone has forgotten how to defend. Although AM goal last night was on the counter attack that would never have resulted in a goal years ago. It would have been booted into row Z. Trying to play too much football when under pressure in and around your own goal area is not clever. Suicidal better describes it.

Perhaps the Woolwich defence just think they are better than they actually are. LOL.

That was schoolboy stuff out there. I've finally just seen the Welbeck plunge.

As much as my usual view is that I only really care what we do, forget them.

Tonight would seriously ease my tension about this season. I simply couldn't take another season of finishing above them (having a better season), but them ending it with a trophy, and of course them qualification to the CL.

However well we did, it would make it all feel a little worse. Especially as it would be a great platform for a new manager to come in to.

Despite the positive result last week, it wasn't the greatest of watches considering it was mostly all Arsenal going forward the whole game. Am hoping tonight's match is a much more pleasant watch.

With our good mate Diego playing I very much doubt it. Hopefully he sticks one on Mustafi.

Dear football gods, please can you stop the nonsense we’ve seen in recent weeks, beginning tonight...

Or, maybe just ONLY for tonight

As much as we want to be in the champions league, can’t help but feel that if we took the Europa seriously like Utd, Liverpool and Arse have done these past 3 years we’d stand a very good chance of winning it.
