£8.5m a year would prove Levy is very serious. That's more than Wenger. Good to hear. Hopefully it gets done. Vital.

Levy has been saving up quite a bit as we don't have to fire managers midway through their contracts.

Not sure if been posted previously...

When we played Stoke on Saturday it was Mauricio Pochettino’s 200th game as a Premier League manager. No coach from outside Europe has ever achieved this.

That's a really interesting table. What do positions 7 and 8 look like? A big gap to 6th?

The quotes from Hugo illustrate why he is, to a large degree, the coaching staff's main representative on the playing staff.....fully buys into the collective mindset

Yep. Like I have said elsewhere, Hugo is very close to Poch, which is why he's going nowhere any time soon.

It often (i mean really often) gets lost in the day to day speculation around the club and the results of any given game but this level of consistency vs. our overall spend is just incredible and shows what MP has brought to the team/club overall.

That sustained brilliance is rarely mentioned in the press whatsoever and when it is brought up, it's immediately countered with the 'no trophy', 'can they keep xxxx happy' point. This sort of info really highlights what the main story is about us in recent years.

Poch’s mentality is poor and that’s the truth. Next season we can be without Alderweireld and Dembele, hows he expecting us to progress If were going to replace them with young players? This is another season without a trophy, he can’t keep thinking that we’re the only team with a project. City’s project is miles ahead of us. Liverpool have more money, Chelsea have more money, United have more money.

This summer we need to make a statement. It’s all good playing entertaining football but if we don’t win anything year after year I’m going to be tired and not care about entertaining football

Can Pochettino take us any further than this? The football is great, but the mentality to actually turn that into silverware is clearly lacking.

Juande Ramos, for all of his faults, knew how to win silverware, and he did just that with us.

He speaks a lot of character and mentality. But where is it? Everytime we play an important game, there is a lack of character and mentality.
