Oh yeah I agree with that.
It was 81 for me, I was only 3 but when I got to 7-8 years old I got given the vhs of the final and the replay...watched them so much I wore the tape out.
That Ricky Villa goal was probably what sparked my love of Tottenham and football in general really.
I love how everyone has a moment like that or a player that ignited their enthusiasm, like in your case Villa and the cup final or for many people Hoddle or Ardiles or Gazza or Rasiak or Ginola.

Not confident, just hopeful. I would absolutely love us to win the FA Cup, as a 14yr old 1981 was my first memory of Spurs winning anything and it was unbelievable!

That was my first cup final as well. Just arrived in Swansea for the game. It's cold

I dreamt last night we lost 3-0 and this site went into complete meltdown.
I had a similar dream that we weren't 3 nil up after 5 minutes and the site went into complete meltdown.

Thought the game was on BBC, gonna have to find a pub showing it now, in Ireland ,on St Paddy's day with all the rugger buggers running around, fun.

Massive sporting day for me today - Spurs in the FA cup and then Ireland (hopefully) spanking England to claim the grand slam - AND it's St Patrick's day. I may die.

"Why didn't Lamela pass to son for his hat-trick? Selfish prick!"

You can see it now...

Then its pointed out Lamela is on the bench and was just kicking the ball to Trippier for a throw in while warming up :cautious::barefoot:

We have gotten away with it in the previous two rounds. Hopefully it’s comfortable today.
