Not just ford, that is a nuts team. EJ has balls on him I'll give him that at least. Crazy fecker.

Was going to put some money on a England win but now I know Haskell is in the team I don’t think I’ll bother.

So it’s a bit of Warrenball now is it. Drop the dual playmaker pivot and have a battering ram at 12.

It's a dirty quick fix and then try and forget this 6 nations ever happened. Then try and get billy back fit for the summer and come up with a better game plan. Ireland are the better team currently and should have more than enough.

Ahh, I was going to ask if he was injured. Shame for the lad.

Re your above post. That Irish lineout was pretty shaky against Scotland. Especially first half.

We'd have been left with Itoje basically as a 'jumper' - and so as the obvious target he'd be under huge pressure constantly. Launchbury takes little ball for a lock. Robshaw ditto, takes a bit but isn't his forte. Haskell virtually nothing, don't think Simmonds does either.

Yeah that’s fair enough was just pointing out that you can get at that lineout and perhaps that was Jones’ thinking by getting Kruis in there who’s as close to a lock lineout specialist as you’re gunna get.

It obviously is banter it's one of those after dinner speech type things isn't it? He is expecting welsh/irish people to be in the crowd (he actually says that).

Any way if he was actually english he would be eviscerated for that and have to resign. As per the un written rules of rugby he will probably get away with it.
I thought it was an England Rugby Supporters event so would be surprised if any other nationalities in the crowd

Genuinely don't understand how Haskell is picked ahead of Armand.

I quite like the balance of Te'o and JJ, but it does feel a bit late in the day to be throwing away the two playmakers approach.

Ultimately I suspect we'll get smashed in the back-row again so not holding out much hope, but if we can keep it tight until the last 20 we've got a great selection of subs to bring on.

As a Welshman now living in Southern Ireland I sincerely hope this loud mouthed Australian has his words shoved down his throat on Saturday afternoon. I have the greatest respect for all nations in this wonderful competition and the spirit in which the games are played is second to none. Quite simply no need for these sorts of comments....think it maybe...but don't say it.

Didn’t think he’d drop Shingler but pleased he’s gone with Tipuric. Steff Evans has made some bad decisions recently and is still pretty raw. North was very good against Italy too.

Wales:
Halfpenny; North, S Williams, Parkes, L Williams; Biggar, G Davies; R Evans, Owens, Francis, Hill, A W Jones (capt), Tipuric, Faletau, Navidi.

Replacements: Dee, Smith, Lee, B Davies, Shingler, A Davies, Anscombe, S Evans.
What do you think about Anscombe over Patchell on the bench?

St Patrick's Day tomorrow. What better day for Ireland to take revenge and ram his words down his throat and to win the Grand Slam for the 3rd time to really rub it in.

Armand has been completely overlooked previously. He's new in camp, doesn't really know his team mates, doesn't know the systems... It's like a new signing in football rarely gets pitched straight in. Same principle.

I guess Anscombe is definitely more of an impact player off the bench than Patchell. Anscombe is that yard quicker and more likely to be a line breaker so I get it from that perspective. Anscombe has been a bit hit and miss this 6N but overall has been pretty good.

Patchell is the future, though.

Yes he looks good I think. Interesting you say Anscombe is quicker. He has always looked a bit pedestrian to me. Still we should win this game - have to win this game.

Yeah, I certainly wouldn’t call him rapid or anything like that but he’s quick off the mark. Good over 15m or so. Also, as much as I rate Biggar and think Patchell is the future, neither of them are exactly blessed with pace so Anscombe has that in his favour especially if your looking at who to pick to bring on against tired legs when you’re chasing a game.

Conditions look pretty harsh. Could play a part today.

As great as Ireland are they’re not the most pleasing on the eye and I’d expect to see even more kicking than usual from Murray and Sexton in the wind and snow today.

Why do we always seem to play these lot on Paddys day as well? Not as if they need the extra motivation.
