Let's start on an upbeat note.

On the train in for my first game this season with my boy. It's his first Spurs game so will be a great day for both of us.

Don't think this will end in a draw, but it's not very likely that one team will win either, but Tottenham should be the better team, but Stoke shouldn't be underestimated.

This definitely falls into the category of stating the bleeding obvious, but we could really do with a convincing win today.

If we can do that, plus some improved individual performances, and ideally some slip-ups from our rivals this weekend, all would be well with the world again.

Well, we might as well start the matchday thread on a positive note, before it descends into the pits of negativity, anger and despair.
