I recall seeing a post before the match earlier today that Aurier was going to get sent off and someone replied that it was random, well, random or not it proved to be very good fortune telling !!!

At 3-0 there is no way in the world I would have taken that score line however with 89 mins on the clock and with the board flashing up 4 minutes of injury time I'd have taken 3-2 any day of the bloody week.

If we'd had let a 3rd in it would have been unbearable, some of the loudest of loudmouth bellend wannabe gangsters from Daganham, Canvey Island , Clacton on Sea, The Isle of Sheppy and Margate as well as hoards of the Kumb posters would have been dining out on that for years, and they would have been stirring the pot and claiming we were proper bottle jobs from now until eternity.

Thankfully they didn't get their 5 minutes of fame.

Margins are fine, at 3-0 that game was literally crying out for Son to be brought on for Alli to be as ruthless as Man City, they were stretched beyond breaking point and the floodgates would have opened as his pace and link up play with Kane or his own eye for goals would have given us a 5 or 6 nil win I'm convinced of that as they couldn't have withstood much more with holes in their slow defence springing up all over the place as they would have been chasing something and getting caught out big time on the break.

Then again as much as we did run out of luck with penalty shouts last week at Swansea we got away with couple of lucky decisions on penalties that could have been given against us today.

Aurier was sailing too close to the wind before the second booking and should have been taken off for Trippier I think we all realise that. As good a player as he is and I think will be I hope that he learns from this as it is a welcome to the Premier League warning shot accross the bows. I like the early attitude he has been showing but there is a fine line on the discipline front and hopefully Poch has a word and we give him the benefit of the doubt whilst he adjusts to this league. In a way if he plays in the next Champions League game and misses the Huddersfield game next week due to suspension that might be a blessing in disguise.

Although Alli chipped in today with two assists some of his decision making in the final third and taking chances to kill the game off was not at its best, he is still young let's not forget and he still has lots to learn and everyone goes through a dip in form. So missing the Champions League game in place of Son may again be a second blessing in disguise.

Eriksen was sublime and Harry, he was Harry, encouraging signs too that Winks may be returning to the player he was before the injury. Clever game management from Llorente, and decent solid performances in the main from the others. Sanchez is having some great learning experiences already and I'm confident he will be immense for us in the long term.

All in all a satisfying day, it could have whole lot better with it going onto be 6-0 but it could have been a whole lot worse if Carroll had been given a penalty for that slight shove in mid air by Sanchez at the end before it all kicked off and it could have ended 3-3. (Let's face it we've seen them been given before)

COYS lets make it a hattrick of wins against this lot before 2017 is out !!!!

Mate everyone is happy we won and got all three points but from 3-0 up to put our self in a position where we could of drawn was not great on our behalf, our defence doesn't seem as solid as last year.
Look at Chelsea, city and Utd who have all won and seen the game out with ease today whereas imo we made it harder than it needed to be but still we won and we stay in the top four for now so all good.(y)
They all played with 11 men but I take your point.

Not sure if already posted but this is from the BBC report on the match. This is describing our second goal..

'That became six in four a few moments later. After Carroll failed to win an aerial contest with Jan Vertonghen, Eriksen's brilliant flick released Kane, who played in Alli. The midfielder's shot was blocked by Joe Hart, but his predatory colleague followed up'.

Were they watching the same game? That mistake takes away how awesome Jan was for that goal.

Anyway, my timeline is remarkably quiet at the moment.... It's so nice. Pity all the other top teams won though.

Before I say anything, I just want to start with : Chicarito is a little bitch. No time for players like that. A whiny little turd sucker who screams at the ref to dish out yellow cards any time he is fouled. It's players like that who taint the atmosphere of a game. Hate it.

Lol me too!

Put mane as Captain he gets sent off.
Put Kane as Captain he can't score, take it off him and scores for fun

Now lukaku bears the curse
Me too. To be fair to Lukaku he keeps scoring but like today, whenever I pick him Harry always gets more points.

I'm gonna leave Lukaku as my captain for the rest of the season
