We are delighted to announce that Kieran Trippier has signed a new contract with the Club, which will run until 2022.

I thought he had signed a new contract already. I wonder if we are going to sign a new RB.

Great! I think Trippier could be the relevation of this season, if he is given the opportunity to make the RB position his own.

However, I hope we do sign another right back. If Trippier gets injured, it might be too much for KWP to handle league, CL and cup games. So we would be forced to play Dier as RB or play someone else out of position.

I would love to see us put in an offer for Lichtsteiner from Juventus. He is versatile enough to play as RB, CB or right midfield if needed, and KWP (and Trippier) could learn a lot from someone like him. Also, he has won the Italian league and has lots of CL experience. Always good to have someone in the team, who has "been there" before.

Thought this was already done a few weeks back but hey ho still great news. A quality player with a brilliant final delivery into the box and he will still improve.

If he pushes on I can see him pushing Walker very hard for an England spot (which would be rather amusing).
