My dad said levy said something abit naughty on the BT video. Something about we should have better people living in Tottenham as it's close to central London??

Think that might have made the news. Or at least had people talking about it.

Taken this from coys

via wine gum on ssc

Matilda Collywobs(who is thought to be a club official, maybe donna cullen) posted yesterday on Glory-Glory

"All Parties Demolition Plan signed-off. Another piece in a complicated jigsaw".

Thats really disappointing to be honest.

If it's the same interview that he did for nbc he mentioned about 75%(?) of people in tottenham being on housing benefit and that the council was stretched and needed private projects like this to help improve the area.
Not saying that it needed gentrification just that the council didn't have the money to do stuff like this.
The bt interview might have had something different though as i haven't seen it.

I haven't seen it yet but from what I've heard it doesn't sound great. Clearly everyone wants poor areas to improve for the people living there but what we don't want to see is a totally transformation of culture in those communities.

Why are you still commenting on something that you brought up, have not seen or read but only heard by hear say?

I think it is along the lines of attracting better people than would be attracted if we not for the development not any reference to the people of Tottenham.
Better for the local residents that we attract higher quality people to join them than lower quality people.
Sounds fair enough to me and I am sure the local residents would agree.

Aslong as it doesn't turn into yuppie town...

Anyway like @Bulletspur said, I should really try and dig the interview out first although I've no reason to disbelieve my dad.

Renewals for members have just gone live and I think there's a couple clues in there that we're definitely still planning to move out at the end of the season barring some sort of calamity this week. Firstly, they've bought back the multi-game packages for Bronze members. No chance they'd do that if we were maintaining the ballot system at WHL, and makes a lot of sense at Wembley to shift tickets for the Cat C/B games alongside the big-name ones. Second, they're sending out new stadium access cards, which I don't believe would be necessary unless we upgraded the system at WHL - and why would we do that?! - or moved to Wembley and needed cards that worked with their turnstyles.

They also put on Facebook they intend to play all home games at Wembley.

Yep, but if there was even a 10% chance we weren't I don't see why they'd launch membership renewals now, offer a multi-game package which isn't viable at WHL, and promise to produce stadium access cards when we didn't know what stadium we're using. I reckon Wembley is absolutely confirmed at board level and this waiting till the end of April is just Levy being Levy.

The only thing holding Tottenham back is that you can't get a hair cut or put a bet on!

Is it easy to go from lillywhite to bronze?
They've added 10 loyalty points to my account and added a new lillywhite membership.
I emailed and asked a while back to upgrade to bronze on renewal but they didn't bother Obviously.

I'm pretty convinced now that there never was a proper reason for the delay on announcing the move to Wembley other than to reduce the time for fans to get all nostalgic about the existing stadium.

To get the best naming rights deal, it is vital the name 'White Hart Lane' is erased from our minds as quickly as possible, starting in May. The last thing Levy wants is big media exposure on this and whl one of the most searched for terms.

If at all possible, he'll somehow drag the doubt out until after the last home game, then the stands will be wrecked before anyone grasps the enormity of the event. The election fever has come at quite a convenient time really for extra distraction.

I'd have thought it would be the opposite. Make a big song and dance that this was the end of whl and an era. That when we come back it would be to a totaly new stadium.
