Not like we were put in 4-0 before scoring 2 fluke goals did we?

We came back from trailing behind a goal twice to draw level and was superior for sustained period but only failed to add in a lead in BOTH occasions.. It is in this context, the team deserves more support than they do from this loss, espeically when we could not do anything for the 4th goal.
They had a lot of luck: I watched the ball spin back into Curtois' arms after the Kane freekick. The thing is that we did probe, but had to be on our guard for the breakaways.

Someone mentioned it earlier and its a great point, the difference between us and them is, we wouldn't accept playing like that with those resources.
Christ I wouldnt accept it without them.
You wanna win like that, fkin long ball and set pieces, fouling and cheating then you go follow Chelsea or Man U.
We don't play that way. We don't buy a team.
We are Tottenham.
And when we win its because we fkin deserve it and we're better than you. And when you lose to us it's gonna hurt that much more because of it.
WE ARE TOTTENHAM

Sorry it's sour grapes and a cop out.

Chelsea win things.

We do not.

We need to change that. If it means playing dirty sometimes, so be it.

Saying we have less resources or lose with style is like the person who got a C in the exam saying "yeah I know you got an A, but I didn't do any studying while you did loads!"

Nkoudou substitution, Personally felt this was a strange substitution, may have been tactical but to bring someone on who's hardly played all season in a semi-final was some call.

Or was it Poch saying to Levy, they've brought on Hazard and Costa and this is what I have?

If the score had been reversed it would have been one of the biggest results in our recent history. For them it's just business as usual. I feel we're going to need some good fortune to break this losing streak.

Dembele , whilst a beast of a man should release the ball quicker ,I am sorry he does not seem to play with the much lauded 'picture in his head'.Son was poor ,but was put into a position he was uncomfortable with and Hugo had one of those days as he sometimes can (Arse at home last year).
Apart from that we have the building blocks of a wonderful team and a manager who is growing and learning.

A few years ago with the team we had maybe I would be proud. Not today.

At the club we've got one of the best GK in the league, the best central defence, best full back combo, best CM combo in league, one of best young players in the world, the 2nd best CAM on form and arguably the best ST in the league.

We're meant to be proud losing 4-2 cos our team cost less than there's? Fuck that. We should have won that game and it isn't good enough losing, I hope the players feel the same.

Spot on. We need to win big games consistently. Not one offs now and then then. That's the next step. Going to big grounds and expecting we will win, rather than hoping.

We have a team that is equal to theirs both in talent and in terms of monetary worth. Their previous actions in the market is irrelevant to the situation now. This side is good enough to beat that Chelsea side, it is is good enough to win silverware and it is not achieving either of those aims. We are in situation where we have a side that is good enough to win the competitions that it competes in and it is failing to do. In the cup tournaments we look way short of attaining success in that area. This club cannot compete at the highest level in the medium to long term but it currently possess a side that can do that and as it stands it is not taking advantage of that. Questions should absolutely be asked because these opportunities are not taken as they will not come along too often.

are you serious? they can bring on Costa, Hazard and Fabregas and we have N'Koudou, Sissoko and Janssen on the bench. We have a great starting 11, but that game changed with the subs.

A fit Rose and we'd be in the final I'm certain.

The guys put up a bloody good fight, resisted the temptation to respond to the many snidey challenges and tried to ignore the clear failure of the ref to punish persistent fouling by several Chelsea players (looking at Luis, Kante and Marcos Alonso especially here) so in respect we won the battle but lost the war.

One step away from being 'big time' once again. Let's hope this time we can make it.

IMVHO, the amount of talk this week before this game from Hugo and Toby was way unncessary.. Both did not perform to even a usual standard despite their confident speech beefing them up..

Hope Poch can sort this out next season from some media distraction.

How is lloris not getting a mention? Why did he move one step towards the wall?

So annoying. Horrendous start to the game
