If that were the case he or the other party wouldn't be stupid enough to do it in public.

I doubt they really care mate. These people in these positions haven't got where they are without being thick skinned. I doubt they'd really care about any criticism.

Lol of course they care, what sense would it make to conduct an interview in public when they can do it over the phone or...not in public?

Seriously, among top clubs, I think only PSG would be able to have a realistic chance to sign Poch because Poch has a connection with them. But I still think Poch will stay at least until the opening of our new stadium

Can't believe people are even 'considering' who we would get to replace Poch if he goes just because the media-that-never-lies prints a story.

Wasn't it from a certain John Cross as well? He seems.to have decided it's his personal mission while the international break is on to link half the Tottenham squad with moves and bad feeling.

Spanish football expert Balague insists the Spurs boss is going nowhere.

“It was just a chance meeting in a restaurant,” he told the Weekend Sports Breakfast.

“They’ve known each other for about 15 years, their kids have been in the same school.

“I can guarantee, 100 per cent, that Pochettino was with a bunch of friends having dinner. It was a chance meeting. They stood up, they greeted each other, hugged each other, and that was it!”

I was 95% sure something like that. Poch is too honest to do Judas like that.

...and like clockwork, the Mirror's latest story is that Rose is definitely leaving. Not Cross this time but hey ho. Embarrassing.

You can't keep anything secret these days. The media is everywhere and in the most unlikely places. So if you want to keep a meeting from the press you certainly wouldn't do it in broad daylight.

Barca never have a manager 'firmly' in place. Enrique is in his third year, it was expected it would be either this year or next that he'd move on. Even Pep only did 4 years with them.

Barca and Real are not like a United or Arsenal. There is no chance of someone nabbing that job and sitting in it for three or more decades.

Maybe he goes, who knows.
According to these stats the average tenture of a manager in England is just 1.23 years.

Just last season we managed to finish 3rd in a 2 horse title race between us and Leicester, remember? Or remember that time we finished 4th only to miss out on CL because another English club won it? Or when the whole damn team got food poisoning(fucking lasagne) and so we failed to qualify for CL? How about all the times we managed to bottle finishing above Arsenal at the end of the season? I can go on. The word for it is spursy

But we also finished third in seven horse race to finish top 4. It isn't Spursy, it's football, There's only been once when our squad actually really merited on pure quality finishing above Arsenal's but if you have a dickhead like Redknapp for a manager who mismanages two months of football and playing assets like Bale, Modric, VDV etc then that's human error not some mystical force. Arsenal have consistently finished above because they have consistently had a better team, a better coach and most of time both.

Here's good news for Spurs fans, manager Mauricio Pochettino plays down his meeting with Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu and the inevitable conclusions jumped to.

"I'm an Espanyol supporter – I think then I don't need to speak too much," the Argentine insists. "It is like one day if (Spurs chairman) Daniel Levy sacks me in a few years, for me it would be impossible to manage Arsenal."
