What Went Wrong For Érik Lamela At Spurs?

Same as saying Kane has hurt his ligaments in his ankle and it's not as bad as previous injury. Why tell us the medical there?

Ankle ligament damage was entirely obvious the moment Kane went down, so they actually haven't added any information, other than saying it's not as bad as his previous injury (this is a simple and common injury for which a simple scan will clearly show the extent of the damage, whereas Lamela's injury probably isn't). We have been given regular updates on Lamela not being ready to return to training, undergoing surgery, now being out for the season etc.

When Dembele was struggling with an ongoing hip injury and missing a lot of games, the club never shared the details and there were loads of rumours that he was done for and on his way out. He's now back better than ever, so there's really not much evidence to suggest that Lamela is going in the summer.

So what's the procedure he's having? What are they going to fix? Looking for?
The specific details are none of our fucking business and it's baffling that you feel that you are entitled to a persons private medical information.

This finally brings this saga and wild and nonsensical speculation from certain Spurs fans to a close. He's always had a hip injury and it's now degenerated to the point that he needs surgery. That's it. Full stop. There's nothing weird, nothing controversial.

The length at some people gets to just wanna to be proven right at the expense of something so damaging to a sportsman, i.e drugs, depression etc, are pathetic..

Hip injury can be a fucking big issue.. Just so you know that area probably is susceptible to the most pressure and wear and tear every single day.. Thank God he still can walk! Nothing wrong with considering that long to go under the knife or not, as that area is damn too risky for any one who calls for ultimate mobility as a sportsperson.. It must have taken him a lot of courage we could have imagined to go for a risky operation and he's only 25 ffs..

It is, literally, ludicrous.

I got into a conflab (can't even dignify it with the title argument) elsewhere early with a poster ranting a list of Rafa Benitez style facts (apart from that Rafa the Gaffa was actually spot on about Ferguson and United ATT). He was, and I am using his terminology, livid (LIVID) that Lamela had been getting approximately £65,000 per week while perpetrating this hip nonsense on club and supporters. So I asked him if he was equally livid when Dembélé missed huge chunks of a season (and bits) with an ill-defined hip problem. His response, and you couldn't make it up, was "when was that then." I mean FFS, he either didn't know or chose not to remember that Dembélé had been in a similar situation to Lamela. So desperate was his need to believe that weak mentality, Argie, never replaced Bale, waste of Bale money, I thought he was shit immediately so he is de facto shit, feigning injury, getting time off 'cos his fecking dog died, Erik Lamela was making a health/fitness issue up preparatory to fecking off to Italy at a massive loss to the club.

I know we all have different intellects, concentration levels, memory spans, etc., but how could anyone who has supported Spurs for more than the last five minutes not remember Dembélé's ongoing, and almost impossible to identify, hip problem?

For people who don't believe the hip injury, and think there's something else a foot.

Just, for one second, imagine Lamela has been injured this entire time. How would the club relay this any differently to how they have been doing?

Are they supposed to use more characters in the tweets if the player is actually injured?

So come on now, Is it his fucking hip that he has a problem with or his foot?

I think retards only understand things if there are emojis on the end of the updates.

I can think of a few posters on this subject who need an inbred emoji

Personal?? This isn't about how big his penis is! We are fans and pay a shot load of money to support our club, and we should be told what is going on. Imagine if the press asked poch how Kane is getting on, and his reply is it's personal!

We have been told. Repeatedly. You just won't believe it. The problem lies with you, not the club.

Perfect example of a self entitled modern day fan who craves instant gratification. You choose to put money into the club no one forces you, so the club can withhold as much info as they want, you need to deal with that.

There were these kinds of rumours when he was out injured for a long time in his first season too. I guess in the age of the internet and 24 hour news stories it's not enough for people just to be told to be patient and wait for further updates.

Dembele came back from a long term hip injury like a totally different player. No reason Lamela can't do the same at the start of next season. The timing of his surgery would seem to bear it out.

i guess some of you won't believe lamela is genuinely injured even the OS releases a video of lamela undergoing surgery

A live stream of it might be a good money spinner, pay-off another 100 plastic seats in the new Stadium. Someone tell Daniel

Out of interest, why is there multiple threads on Lamela? Why was the joke the last 4 months is he alive? Would this happen if we have been regularly updated?

Because people like you refuse to believe the club. You're convinced there's more to it and simply won't accept what you're told.

So regularly being told that he has a hip injury is not being updated? What do you want, a camera following him around 24/7?

The only reason that there are multiple threads and this discussion has been ongoing is because too many imbeciles engage in speculation, hyperbole and see conspiracy where there is none. It's certainly not because any of that supposition has any validity at all.

@Shadydan and @tiger666 replied to this perfectly. Being told he has a hip injury is all the fans need or, indeed, are entitled to.

What are you talking about? Poch took us all out, we had a good catch up with Coco and he showed us his scans and paperwork over a few beers. We all know what's going on.... oh shit... I just realised, I wasn't supposed to say anything to you. Fuck. Sorry.
