Absolutely disgusting, bitch move. For what he achieved he should have been given a job for life at Leicester, they still got a fair chance of getting through to next round of the CL.

I think the old vote of confidence from the board is a hint to look for another job

It often is, but I kind of believed it this time. At the start of last season everyone had them fighting relegation which is where they are now. In the mean time he's taken a team of nobodies to the league title and the knockout stage of the champions league. They should be building statues of him rather than sacking him.

I am not surprised they sacked him. They are going down. In any other situation he would have been gone weeks ago, when Hull/Palace/Swansea changed managers. Hull and Swansea have both shown signs of life since, Palace less so.

Taking sentiment out of it.. the timing is the oddest thing. Midway through a CL tie with every chance of going through, outside of a transfer window so no more options for anyone new, and so soon after their statement of support.

Liverpool on Monday night! another defeat, probably.

The league win was remarkable but it shows football is a business. A cold-hearted ruthless business.

The only odd thing about this is that it's in the middle of the CL tie. I thought they'd wait until they crashed out.

Why? It's certainly no shame going out to Sevilla. Getting knocked out is probably the best thing that can happen to them in a funny way in order to concentrate on staying up.

I know modern football is bonkers, but I really didn't think they would sack him.

Wanted them to go down before, but now I'm desperate for it to happen.

I'm happy he's left them. A classy man who doesn't deserve to go down with that rabble. Just a shame they sacked him. Could have at least announced a mutual agreement.

Their fairy-tale is ruined now. 20 years from now when the club organise a reunion the only people who'll turn up will be Kante and Steve Walsh. They jumped ship at the top. The rest are going down hating each other and I love it.

The next match in CL is in 3 weeks. 3 weeks of continued shit performance in the PL could seal them to the drop. They are obviously hoping that a new manager will give them a jump and allow them to survive.

Not sure it will work since i don't think a new manager will suddenly improve Morgan and Huth's defending.

Ranieri's fatal mistake was not upgrading them last Summer as Kante was no longer gonna be there to hide their short comings.

Oh that's right, I forgot how long it is between legs in the round of 16. Alright, more understandable then.

Disgraceful effort from a small club with owners having unrealistic expectations.
Last year was a one off. Everyone knew it. Owners should have been happy with that!

I think the only player of theirs I have any respect for is their goalkeeper. The rest simply haven't performed and ought to be ashamed of themselves and if the rumours of the players forcing him out are to be believed (and they've certainly been playing like it) then double shame on them, there's not one of them i'd want at our club.

Oh and Huth. Ha! The minute Referee's clamped down on all that pulling, holding and tugging, you were fucked. You built a career out of it. Knobrot.

If anyone could have turned it around, it would be the man who performed the biggest miracle IMO in team sports.

I don't agree. This season he and the players look totally lost.

5 straight league defeats recently doesn't show they can turn anything around. 10 out of the last 15 league games have been defeats. Defending badly, not scoring very many. Everything that went right last season has gone wrong this, and it started on the opening day.

There is still a long way to go though but even if he did take them down, he's earned the right to try and get them promoted next season. Keith Burkinshaw took us down in his first year, he ended up being our second greatest manager. Ranieri is already their greatest manager, no one would do a better job than him.

Taken the media attention off us crashing out of Europa so thanks Leicester (y)

Looking at the Sevilla result it's crazy timing but shows that the most important thing for the owners is premiership survival (which it should be) sentiment is lovely and all but it doesn't pay the bills and he'd lost the dressing room
