We lost this one in the first leg, there was always the danger of conceding and the game getting away from us.

This is on Poch for an atrocious team selection. Wanyama, Dembele, Winks, Sissoko, Alli, Kane. What the hell was that?

Not really, seems more like people are falling off their perches over a sub par performance over two legs in a cup that if people own up, couldn't give a fuck about ...

Gotta love the ability to change ones goalposts at the stroke of a key!
There are plenty of people on here who don't care about the cups but plenty of people who do. I do give a fuck about cups. Anyway carry on moaning about people moaning and you will fit right in sunshine.

Moaning about people moaning? Nah just pointing out some of the self entiled idealism that is regularly spouted off after a loss. You should call me chappy next, fam, I like walking cliches on message boards, they add to the hilarity.

We wouldn't be in this cup if we hadn't won the last game of a dismal Champions league campaign. I don't remember too many people on here being enamoured with the idea of dropping into the Europa League. Still, selective memories and all that, eh me old mucka?

Toodle pip.

... Are we?

Not far from it, there are worse teams out there, but not many who fail as much as us given our standing and riches.
Sure, we're not Aston Villa, but we definitely are an embarrassment at times. Even when we do everything right as we've done for years, we still have this loser stench around us

It was inevitable there would be a lot of anger after going out tonight but it might be a blessing for us.

We clearly don't have the squad to cope with injuries and, given our progress in the FA Cup, that is a far more realistic shot at a trophy.

If we could do that and also get into the top 4 I'm not sure anyone will look back at tonight with any particular emotion come the end of the season.

Out thought? Really? Did you watch the game? We had 25 shots to their 5. I know which team bossed the game. Our finishing was off today. That is all and that is football.

3 on target. So 22 off target. What a dynamic attacking performance

Yes, out thought. They're canny and clever, we're naive. Where you say bad ref, I say they're sly with their fouls, unlike "take their legs off" Dier and Alli

Where do you think in their illustrious European and domestic history Gent learnt that?

Different folks. SC isn't a hive mind

We need to win something and bar Utd we were the biggest club left in the competition. At least go out to Lyon or something...

Why does it matter who you go out to? You're that bothered by what others think? How many people besides those who come up with those bullet points BBC post or the Sky stat men, will remember this result at this exact point next season?

I'm bothered by performances and results but really couldn't care what other people think long term, it's a sport thus meant to be enjoyed, if you hold onto much more that that ... Well.

Guess we are all different. :)

I don't think I've ever used the word chappy before or fam. No sure if you are from Windsor or Islington with that. It is good to hear that someone on here knows how all the fans react after a loss. It must all be what you quoted (usual for a Windsor boy but if you is from Islington you must have swallowed one of them word books innit). I look forward to hearing your pearls of wisdom in the future Vinny. Can I also say you were the ugliest muthafucker I have ever seen in our team. Tally ho
