Thought we were very poor all around. I gave it to Wanyama for his performance when he went into defence. Thought he was poor in midfield, too slow on ball, but really stood up when it counted.

Performance reminded me of one against Leverkusen at Wembley, we couldn't string any passes together. The two times we did we scored two very good goals.

I'm not sure how much of this was down to City playing well or our bad performance. Eriksen was particularly bad, he just couldn't pick a pass when it seemed to be on. Nothing was working for Dembele, and Kane had one of those games like for England at the Euros.

Ultimately, we got away with a decent point, especially when taking the Scousers and United results today.

With the Oscars a month away, my nomination goes to the 'Fantastic Beasts' (Wanyama and Dembele, with Vic just edging it), although I did appreciate the beautifully-timed 'Arrival' of Alli and Son. The rest did OK, but there were one or two in 'La-La-Land' today. No names, though. We played as a team and showed character. Decent direction from Poch throughout the 90 minutes too.

A real tough game and a great come back, undeserved yes but a sweet point none the less

Lloris - 4 one excellent save from Silva but made several errors from his kicks to his involvement in both goals. Not sure I've ever seen him play as poorly before
Dier - 5 struggle with the potent and rapid city attack
Toby - 6 kept the defence just about together and covered for some bad errors from his team mates
Wimmer - 3 looked a complete mess out there today. Too slow, no positional awareness, out of his depth. Tough game to be thrown in to though, I expect him to be better against lesser opponents
Walker - 6 struggled with the defensive side of the game especially when there was less central cover for him. But started the come back with a peach of a cross for Dele and cheating or not his push on Sterling saved a certain winner
Wanyama - 8 he was great, again. Didn't look out of place when moved to the back and was a huge reason we got something out of this
Dembele - 6 showed some moments of real quality and class but failed to really do anything effective it the ball after beating a man or two. Also probably needed to put in more of a defensive/covering shift at times
Rose - 7 world class goal saving tackle I'm the box, struggled compared to usual due to the great attacking work of City and didn't get many opportunities going forward
Eriksen - 5 unable to really get in to the game today, mostly due to City out playing us. Did some good work in the build up to the equaliser though
Kane - 5 same as Erkisen really, isolated and ineffective like his game at Old Trafford but this time his one key moment was a great assist for Son rather than a sloppy back pass that lead to a goal against. Poor game but his class was shown when off side or not he produced a great assist on the one occasion he had a chance to make something happen all game
Alli - 6 like the other attacking players failed to really get in to the game but a Lampard esq run in to the box was perfectly timed and he scored a vital goal, again.

Son - 7 great finish, saved the match
Winks - 7 didn't put a foot wrong and a bonus point for looking so enthusiastic and emotional when we grabbed the second
Sissoko - 6 didn't really have a chance to affect the game but his energy and running was useful late on when we were holding on desperately and others looked jaded

After the first half I did not think anyone could play worse than Wimmer, but Lloris showed that it was possible in the second half. He was completely useless, not only for the goals Man City did, but also for his distribution. That's a true captain. He felt bad for Wimmer and wanted to boost his confidence. ;)

Wanyama was man of the match.

Wanyama MOTM.

Fair play to Pep, he recognised that trying to match up wasnt going to work so went all out attack and it nearly worked.

There isnt a team out there that likes being under a constant stream of pressure and no possession, credit for determination but especially for us being so clinical and rescuing a real bonus point.

I felt for Hugo. Our outfield players put him under constant pressure with their negativity. We looked very nervous IMO, and it really affected our play. Wanyama the only player to come out of this with any real credit.

I wouldn't be surprised if the greater Manchester police phone lines go into meltdown tonight, after that clear as day robbery.

Lloris also puts the outfield players under pressure with poor passes and decisions.

I posted this in the match thread, but I think Wimmer is going to be unfairly rated in this match. He is not the best player to match-up against the pace that Pep put up front. It not his fault - he was just a bit out of his element against this line-up, and the tactics used by Pep. Poch recognized the mis-match early enough, and moved to the flat four, and we did not concede while Wimmer was on the pitch.

Wanyama was his usual self and was our best player.

Kane and Alli were poor and they decided to try and win free kicks instead of moving the ball on in key pockets of space.

I wish Eriksen had some of Lamela's aggression.

GKN should have been an option from the bench against this defence, there was lots of space to exploit but no outlet.

Wimmer was poor but shouldn't be dropped, his contribution last season shouldn't be forgotten so easily.

Excellent - Wanyama, Alderweireld, Rose and Dembele.
Good - Walker, Alli, Son, Winks
Poor - Lloris, Wimmer, Eriksen, Kane, Dier

Lloris had one outstanding save first half, Kane's lay off was great, but as a whole they both had poor games imo.

Wanyama was my MOTM. Brilliant and won almost everything, also very calm in defence. Toby was a one man defensive machine first half. Rose was his usual 'all power with a dose of underrated skill' self. Dembele was impossible to play against.

The reason we were so poor is because aside from City being very good, we can't have 5 players off their game like we did today. And although I've praised the above individually, as a unit we were really poor, which is weird considering how well those 4 played.

Barely deserved draw but I'll take that.

Wanyama was great. The reason we played poorly was because everyone in front of him had a poor game. Eriksen's rise in form has unsurprisingly matched the whole teams rise in form but he was quiet and off the pace today. Kane similarly quiet apart from a superb flick for the 2nd goal. Dembele gave the ball away more than he usually does in 5 matches.

Moving behind. Lloris had a stinker in terms of errors and distribution. But despite nearly the whole team being below par we dug out a point. Total smash and grab but I'll take it all day. Let's get back to form for the next match and the important visit to Anfield. COYS!

Got away with it today. They were really up for this one and have some top class players who played well.
We just about coped but they should have been streets ahead. Although but for two silly blunders we would have won.
Not that we would have deserved it.

Lloris..........4.......Saved us many times in the past but not today. Sorry Hugo.
Walker........6+.....Insane push on Sterling. Great assist for Dele's goal.
Dier.............6.......A bit harassed under pressure.Game seems a little fragile this season.
Toby............7+.....Radar a bit off but sound defensively-
Wimmer......5.......Tough game to come in for. Didn't cope too well.
Rose...........7.......Usual spirited performance.
Wanyama....8.......We should try him at centre forward or on the wing, anywhere in fact. Rock.
Dembele......6.......Strong on the ball but nowhere to be seen at times. Dwelt a little.
Eriksen........5.......Not at the races or perhaps that's where he was. Nothing came off today.
Dele.............5.......Great movement for his goal. Otherwise where Eriksen and Harry were.
Harry............5.......Nice assist but well marshalled. One of the misssing three.

Winks...........7........Not phased whatever situation he is put in.
Son...............7.......Good movement and well taken goal.
Sissoko.........Not on for long but ran about a bit.

First thing is first, that was more about City than anything else. In the same way we made Chelsea look bad two weeks ago, City did to us. Difference is that we can be dominated and outplayed but still have the bottle to claw back. No other team in this league comes back today but us.

City did to us what Pep's Barca did to Madrid, they starved us of the ball and pressed the shit out of us when we did have it. Pep picked a front six who, the second they had the ball they would not lose it as they had the skill/ technique to keep it under pressure, and the creativity to cut us open.

Aguero was relentless leading the press, Silva and De Bruyne resembled Xavi and Iniesta, and the pace of Sterling and Sane tortured Walker and Rose.

Even then, they scored two gifts, we scored two beauties.

Lloris is unlucky for the first they score. 99/100 he saves us with his pace off his line, it was bound to go wrong one day. Goal number two was comical though, especially considering the worldies he pulled off first half.

Walker was the most at fault for goal number one with awful awareness. Lucky not to give away a penalty and get sent off. Beautiful ball for Dele to score though.

Dier did well in my opinion, very harshly booked early on and stood up to their onslaught well.

Alderweireld was given a torrid time by Aguero, his passing was off and he picked up an injury. One to forget.

Wimmer struggled. Once again, harshly booked early on, his distribution was dreadful and he was unable to cope with Man City's movement. Not the game for someone who's barely played all season and he was probably grateful to be hooked.

Rose has not been handled so well by the opposition all season. Even then, he was one of our more likely threats and did as good a job as anyone. Loved how much Son's goal meant to him.

Wanyama was the only player offering any resistance to City's onslaught. Tireless, hard tackling and great in the air, our man of the match.

Dembele had a few fleeting moments of brilliance but otherwise was reduced to 'willing grafter' by a midfield who ensured he was starved of the ball.

Eriksen was poor. He saw a decent amount of the ball but he couldn't seem to make any real use of it. Still found a way to get the ball into the box in the build up to our equaliser, which is why he is persisted with even when not on point, he's the most likely player we have to find an opportunity.

Alli was constantly making runs, he was genuinely trying to find space and make something happen but he was peripheral to most of the game and threatened to boil over into petulance at one point. That said, he popped up with the run and wanted to win the header that little bit more than their defence, and that's why he's persisted with.

Kane disappointed me more than the other two, he could've helped our midfield out far better if he'd worked as he can to make himself available and run the channels. Still, he was involved in both goals due to his ability to remain composed when everything else was manic, and his hold up/ lay off for the equaliser was splendid.

Son ran down a lot of blind alleys, he struggled to complete a pass and he was outmuscled every time. However, he met the pass at the key moment and kept his nerve to strike the equaliser with his only opportunity. Well done.

Winks came on and added a snippet of composure and ball retention. Nothing spectacular but he coped well with a situation he probably won't have faced before.

Sissoko offered us a bit of drive I thought, he used the ball well and he stretched play a bit too. Gave them something to think about.

Pochettino was out done tactically, but he had the balls to change formation early, he was willing to sacrifice solidity for some variation in arrack and he adapted to seeing Alderweireld pick up an injury.

Not thrilled with our performance, but thrilled with our fight back and glad we've not had our recent momentum hit. We may have had a slice of luck but fuck them, I still remember Balotelli's attempted assassination of Parker right in front of Clattenburg before scoring the winner from a penalty he won. Good point today.

Sometimes you just have to put your hands up and give the opposition credit. They had their tactics spot on and deserved to win even without the non-penalty decision. Referee was poor all game, gave City a lot of cheap free kicks 1st half, booked our players for first offences, let city players get away with a bit more.

You wonder if refs review their performance at half-time because definetly second half we got more rub of the green.

Anyway a massive point, only Liverpool can press us that way out of the teams left to play so not overly concerned by the performance. Only 3 of the top six left to play and 2 of those at home so Still looking rosy.

Can only really be one motm, who was wanyama who was immense in every position he played. Was worried when Toby went off but he fitted in seamlessly.

When the performance was as poor as it was probably a bit weird to give the manager a small bit of credit, but I felt he reacted well today to the problems he faced. Changed tactics, quickly, made the sub at half time and was brave to being winks on and put wanyama in defence when most of us probably expected Davies to come on. You can hardly hold Poch responsible for the goals conceded which showed Lloris on a bad day.

Point gained could be massive at the end.

Some of these ratings are harsh. I don't think it was the players but the system that was the problem in the first half. City knew how we were going to play and had a game plan for it. 3 at the back isn't some magical game winning formation, as was shown today. Poch has often caught the opposition off guard with a change in formation and today we were the ones caught out by City. But still we came away with a point.

People need to cut Wimmer some
slack - going from having an arse full of splinters from being on the bench for so long and into a game where the opposition were as intense as that, he was always going to off the pace.

Even players full of confidence like Toby and Rose we're struggling so it's no wonder someone lacking it was exposed. Once he gets a few games against more limited opposition I'm sure we'll see his levels as improve.

I also thought it looked offside, but the replays didn't allow me to be certain of this. On that occasion, perhaps two wrongs did make a right.
