Immense performance from everyone today. Much tougher tests to follow in the next 17 Prem games but, like the way Fergie's Mancs used to do, we seem to be gathering momentum in Jan. Only injuries will stop us having a strong push for the title.

The best football I have ever seen us play, against an ultra defensive team who give every opponent a tough time breaking them down.

MOTD 1st question to Harry Kane.

"Who's the daddy"?

absolute classic

There have been times I have wondered if he is overrated. There are still some people who think he is (some ManU fans I know). That performance yesterday shows he isn't. Good decision making, strong shot with either foot, holds the ball up and brings others into play. That was Kane at the best I have ever seen him.

- this season. Finally he looked like the golden boot winner from last season.

It just occurred to me that maybe the reason Mauricio went to see Fergie was to ask his advise about how his teams always seemed to gather momentum over the Xmas period as opposed to others, including us last season, who fade away

It all depends on what Kane's job description is. He's such a megastar, sometimes people forget his job isn't to pick up the ball on the half way line and beat five men. Compared to players that can do that, Kane often looks clunky on the ball.

But it doesn't matter how clunky he looks, because his real job - as you pointed out - is to show strength, find space, bring others into play, and hit the net with powerful, accurate shots and headers. No other English centre forward does this better at the moment, and none has done it better since Shearer.

Having watched both games this Sunday afternoon between the Scousers and the Mancs, what IMO is the difference between us and the other top six teams is having Kyle and Danny as wing backs

We played some sublime football yesterday and I really like the way the players are so aware of each others' positioning for passes

They do make a massive difference for us, they're able to own the flanks on their own so we can leave them to it and let Eriksen and Alli do more damage in the middle supporting Kane.

Will be interesting to see how we play when they have to be pegged back more often though. Could leave the front 3 starved of the ball and lacking an outlet when they get it. I'm thinking when we play Liverpool and they have Coutinho and Mane wide it could cause us problems.

I think we're playing some of the best stuff in the league at the moment but I'm probably very biased.
