If you’re content with the constant conceding of headers from 3/4 yards out and the odd moment of madness in big games then ok. Appreciate these aren’t the ‘big names like Oblak’ just in terms of actually type of keepers we could afford / would go for who actually come for crosses and are decent...
It’s a good question. If spending decent £ then someone like Kasper Schmeichel. Think Nick Pope would be a good signing from Burnley given Heaton is no. 1 again. While he is a shithouse, also think Matt Ryan will be a top goalkeeper. Sure there are others from Europe.
Excellent shot stopper but with question marks over distribution, decision making and commanding his six yard box - surely we could do better. Would upgrade if possible and give Kane the captaincy.
Anyone that thinks Fellaini is not an upgrade on Ryan Mason needs their head tested. There's always frustration that we don't improve the starting 11 and then we get linked with a player like Fellaini and people are underwhelmed. Personally think wages would be an issue but as mentioned by...
Burnley are also in town this week so good chance to start / conclude any discussions. For me, good deal which you will never lose any money on which has to appeal to DL.
I realise it's not directly related to Spurs but if the £25m plus transfer of Bony to Man City goes through then the chances of Swansea stepping up their interest in the likes of Naughton must increase. Could be the catalyst ....
Don't understand the people that still talk about a 'motivated' Ade. We saw it when he was trying to win a lucrative contract and we saw it for about 3 months last year. We should get rid by whatever means possible, just get him off the books. Is it a surprise that our 'upturn' in form & morale...
Exactly this. Club won't spend significant money on alternatives. Didn't expect Southampton to keep their word but sure their owner may feel differently in January. Also gives Poch 4 months to assess the squad properly.
Poch has been here 2/3 months yet we expect him to have a perfect squad already. Let the bloke coach and trust the new signings. Unfortunately we have to try and find the new Modric rather than buying the finished article as that is our level. While it is un-Levy like, maybe we should judge the...
People comparing this transfer window to Martinez's last year. Yes Everton had a great window but i seem to recall that McCarthy, Lukaku and Barry were all signed on deadline day! Not time to panic just yet ....
