Pochettino: Spurs deserve massive credit after tough period

Team deserves all the credit in the world. They remain the all around best Spurs team I’ve seen and I’m going on 40 years of supporting now. Grit and belief enough to win ugly - which has never been something associated with our club.

The Summer Transfer Window POST MORTEM THREAD

Wonder how much the naming rights deal falling through at the last minute ballsed up the plan? Levy might have put the brakes on after that cash disappeared.

    Sander Berge

Thanks for all the insight - especially from our Norwegian friends. Makes a change from the ITK thread which is all bipolar wailing.

Anyone know if the Monaco CL game will be on TV? I'm in SF and so far no luck.

The Daily ITK Discussion Thread 8th July 2016

Why not? We're an up and coming CL team, we paid 30M for Lamela. He'd get a fresh start and a chance to be a star in the most popular league in the world. We've got the facere if we've got the audere

The Daily ITK Discussion Thread - 1st February 2016 THE FINAL DAY!

I'd like to think we can fill the gaping hole behind Kane on the depth chart but it's been very quiet. MD2 was always one for the future. There's been no positive ITK on SB. Maybe Poch and Levy feel they can roll the dice - TBF they're deserving of some respect for their decisions given how the...

The Daily ITK Discussion Thread - 12th August 2015

Five more out during this window (Fazio, Carroll, Lennon, Soldado, Adebayor) and three more in seems pretty ambitious. I don't disagree with any one of the individual moves - although I think Fazio was a more useful player than many on here seem to - but it's starting to feel a bit like a...

    Stats insight into Spurs defending

IIRC the article doesn't get into whether the long passes are down the flanks or down the middle. There might not be enough data to be able to make the distinction clear. It does show that the long passes are turned into shots at higher than average rates. My naive take is that CBs who make more...

@jair1970 - love the work at Statsbomb and am a Twitter follower. I hadn't put it together that you're on SC as well.

    Stats insight into Spurs defending

From the most recent Statsbomb article. Maybe some insight into why Poch started with the defense this transfer season. "The longest passes allowed are generally all German teams (see below for more on league differences) and then some bad Spanish teams and then Tottenham, who are right besides...

The Daily ITK Discussion Thread - 20th July 2015

Not sure that what we've heard really justifies all the discussion in the ITK thread (apologies for adding to it) but Fellaini's an interesting idea. Not a "Spurs type" player but that would be just the point (the last one of those we had scored the goal that got us into the Champion's League)...

The Weekend ITK Discussion Thread 18th/19th July 2015

Moses may or may not be an upgrade on Townsend - I think he would - but the extra 7 million pounds would definitely be welcome as it could mean extra quality in other parts of the pitch.
