As much as I wanted this done last week - it will happen when it happens.

Royal and VdV are the likely starters against Man United - and that is not the end of the world, or even the season.

There’s no way we are going to sell Dier and loan out Phillips without being very confident we will sign him .

with Romero and Davies both injured and VDV also just back in training that would be complete madness
Hate to say it but i personally not be suprised if we don't...
Sense of dejavu for me,hoping Levy proves me wrong but not building my hopes up to be annoyed again.

Having to play full backs at centre back because of poor squad planning over the last few years.
Plus selling Sanchez after the window has shut.

It’s stupid we’ve got ourselves into this predicament, let’s say we lose to United on the weekend because we have no fit CBs and lose out in champions league by 3 points.
All because we’re arguing over a couple of million when the champions league brings millions in the club.

It’s madness.

It is stupid, no one would disagree, but I asked who's setting these deadlines? X players ust be signed by Friday! Or now by Tuesday! Now in 24 hours!

We need him, and when he is here it helps fill part of a hole, but I just don't get this he has to be signed by x date/time (excluding the end of the window)

I've been very chill on this and been telling all and sundry to be patient......now I'm at the very beginning of becoming impatient.

Lets get this done!!

VDV and royal?
Enormous risk to rush van de Ven back for 90 minutes in a crunch game imo. Have to be extremely careful with hamstrings, especially if he's going to be doing long sprints behind the high line. If he aggravates that injury he's out for the season.

If Dier's move gets the green light, we are looking at Emerson and Hojbjerg/Bentancur at the back as Ange won't play Dorrington. Some appear to be fine with that bizarrely.

Yup me too, it’s starting to feel like a very familiar story.
Same. If it’s not done by COB Wednesday then I reckon it won’t happen and we will move to a different target. Ange was crystal clear he wants players in early and CB is our n.o1 priority so if we have Werner flying over tonight then CB needs to be concluded tomorrow with a medical on Wednesday/Thursday latest to be in squad for Utd.

If VdV was on the bench in our last game, is there a reason, with another 8 days of training sessions that he can't start against UTD?

It might not be the end of the season but it could be the end of VdVs season to throw him straight in complete caution to the wind because the only alternative is Hojbjerg. Ridiculously naive to think he can come straight back into a game of that intensity. It took Bentancur 2-3 sub appearances followed by 1-2 60-70 minute matches to get up to speed.

Feel like we should probably have had a much earlier deadline for getting someone in. 8 days into the window now.

Yeah good point. All the more reason not to make matters worse when Levy is being Levy. I wouldn't risk it and i'd go for Dorrington and Royal and maybe give Micky 20 minutes or so. But I think Ange would pick Hojbjerg there if Dier does leave.

He was on the bench for the cup game. He's had over a week and more of training, that's not being rushed back! Being rushed back would have been starting in the cup game.

All very true. But I suppose only the medical staff, the player and Ange know the answer.

If Romero and Davies were fit and playing well would we rush him back. Not for me. It shouldn't change because of Levy's failure to bring in a CB.

Yeah i thought this would of been done by today at the latest.

We desperatetly need a CB in for a massive game on Sunday.

I mean we really are desperate, not done by tomorrow and its far from ideal preparation for integrating him into the squad in time for Sunday
