let’s just hope that Son Maddison are not involved in games for there countries and we don’t pick up anymore injuries

South Korea have two friendlies - but they are in South Korea - so, I think Son could get some rest (But I can't envision him turning down a national team call-up) - but the travel to and from is likely to be a challenge.

For Madders - it helps that Southgate does not appear to like him very much - but not sure that will matter when a few of the players begin to pull out of the team with various minor niggles.

So we're expecting:

Vicario; Porro, Romero, VDV, Udogie; Bissouma, Sarr, Maddison;. Kulusevski , Son, Richarlison

Apparently, Manor also injured and will be out for 2-3 months. So very strong chance we'll see two more academy players on the bench to replace Brennan and Solomon.
Brennan should be back after the international break.

Unless we take a route not to risk Sonny and he starts on bench (and is introduced only if needed).

Honestly mate, if 1 of our players had done that and var had given a red card, I wouldn't be complaining. It's amazing to me that anyone thinks that's a yellow.
Did anyone on here complain at the ref when Moura got sent off at Everton last season? I don't think so. We all said he was an idiot for challenging like that.

Perfect opportunity for Véliz to play in this game, could suit him and give Son a rest while he's carrying his groin strain.

When's the slate clean for the 5 yellows?

Tempted to take a tactical yellow (late on in the game) for Biss as we can cope losing him for Fulham at home....

Don't want him missing Palace away or Chelsea next month.

That would push him one yellow closer to a more sever suspension though

Only problem with that is then he is one card closer to getting 10 yellow cards and a 2 match ban. But I see your point.

If Son can start he has to. We’ve got so few options on the bench that rotating/resting players isn’t an option at the moment. And before anyone says “it’s only Luton”, remember that people were predicting a very comfortable stroll against Sheffield Utd and we were minutes away from losing.

Try to get 60-70 minutes out of our strongest available XI (which is still pretty close to our actual strongest XI) and then make changes where needed using our very depleted bench. Whether those changes involve experienced heads like Hojbjerg and Skipp or youngsters will depend on the game situation in those last 20-30 minutes.

How many yellow cards lead to a suspension?

Any player that picks up five yellow cards in the first half - 19 matches - of the Premier League season is suspended for a match.

If they pick up 10 yellow cards in a season, they'll miss two matches regardless of when they receive their 10th caution.

The 10 yellow card rule is only until the 32nd game.

3 weeks ago I thought we were pretty sorted in the attacking left hand position. How have we lost 3 players in such a short space of time - 2 of which were in training (is that right?) - What are the bloody chances!!

Injuries starting to mount, big, physical side that’s good at set pieces and home with a point to prove. Have to lose some time. I’m nervous tbh.
