It’s a novel way of trying to convince a player to sign for you:

“Oh come on Brennan - you ain’t good enough for the other lot who want you. I doubt they even want you. Like not really anyway. We want you so much that we’re only offering a little bit less than they are”.
I know it’s not the same thing but the minute that a salesman/estate agent etc starts slagging off the competition rather than focus on promoting their own strengths, the red flag goes up. Makes me less likely to believe what they are saying.

Already love his attitude. Players who want to be here again!
Loved this from Steve Cooper. "Everyone knows how great he is on the pitch, but what many people don't see is the kind, humble and genuine young man he is off it. He was always learning, always showed great humility and had a superb nature in the way he interacted with his team-mates and staff."

He's from West Wales and is bilingual
Yeah I was confusing him with Rodon.

Best of luck to Johnson hope we look back on this and see it as a master stroke. Hoping he takes over that central role playing with Kulu and Son interchanging.

Never really paid this lad much attention before. If he’s similar quality to Kulu, Bentancur and Udogie then we will have a great player on our hands.

Welcome to Spurs young man!

Bloody lovely. I’m proud that we seem to be building a team of not just talented lads, but good people that I’m proud to associate with. Just good people that make me feel happy saying that this is my dads, granddad and great granddad’s team. It’s literally all I want.

I know he isn’t popular among many, but Pep is masterful at managing high end players.

One of his big philosophies is buying players who are good people. It seems to work well for him. He doesn’t seem to have to deal with a lot of the nonsense and egos that go with the modern game.

I think it's very much the same thing. My brother in law who was a very good salesman used to say it's something you simply don't do.

I like Steve Cooper, seems a decent guy. I was pleased when Forest backed him in their tough spot last season.

Klopp does the same. I think the dogs of war approach can work for underdogs and obviously you need a bit of grit, but I’d be fuming if we had a Partey or a Greenwood. I don’t want to have to caveat my connection to us. I love a good bastard if it’s just on the pitch (Duncan Ferguson was a knobhead on pitch but by most accounts very sound off it) but it’s become increasingly important to me that I actually can relate to our team. It’s finally coming back again. I’m excited.

Happy that we have another pacy attacking option but I really haven’t seen enough of him to have an opinion on how he will perform for us. I’m just hoping the scouting team have identified qualities in him that are the perfect fit for what Ange requires.
