They need to though. Staying in the Premier League is vital. Whatever our squad gaps are, we're not going to be in that shake up. I agree with the poster who said today outgoings, tomorrow incomings. I really believe that's the plan.
Going well so far. We need to average an outgoing per hour from now to clear what we need - if you think that is happening then you need your head read

Ekitike was offered today so could be one to watch tomorrow
Cheers for the ITK as always mate. Let's see what happens in the next 24 hours.

Clearly we are looking at multiple players and some will be offered and some of those could be promising. To be honest I'm not surprised that its going to the wire due to the difficulty we are having getting outgoings confirmed as all the ITK have stated.

Fingers crossed we get some of the outgoings confirmed tomorrow even if it is loans again - as it frees up space for opportunistic deals as well as Brennan Johnson

No ofc we won't shift all we want. But enough to trim the squad down and get a couple in still seems doable.

I know we need homegrown but surely just signing literally anybody isn’t the right solution
I don't remember which ITK it was but one essentially said they are willing to take worse hg players now so in the future they can get foreign players without worrying for hg numbers. Our rumored incomings match that idea.

I suppose if there is a silver lining to what will likely be a disappointing end to the window (in terms of incomings), at least we may be well set up for January if we have cleared a lot of the muck out of the stable by close of play tomorrow. Which appears to be the core focus at the moment.

Lol please dont fall for this 'we are setting things up for future windows.' There will be another excuse in Jan, followed by another in Summer.

I didn't quite put it like that but it was me. I'll be honest I'm far from optimistic it'll be a good one tomorrow. Let's hope they can pull some rabbits out the hat but I'm not holding my breath.

Despite everything that we go through - even I didn’t believe we would have been as truly clueless and lacking in planning in the wake of selling our best player.

In hindsight it’s obvious. That’s how we’re run. But Jesus Christ, it’s utterly negligent.
