has crackers gone crackers? Or could this be true?
Smells like bullshit to me.
has crackers gone crackers? Or could this be true?
It's been quite something to see the football media swing wildly back and forth over the last few days. Surely a vast amount of it was bullshit for clicks.Smells like bullshit to me.
You could always call him Rodney, after Dave.I'm having a son I October.
I guess I could call him Son?
I hope Levy negotiated a clause to give Spurs first dibs when HK leaves Bayern.Still think he will be back in PL rather soon, giving him two years tops.
Cue a season of: “That was just the kind of chance Kane would have taken…” I’m willing to bet that we miss the first penalty we are given too!We haven’t even spared a thought for the commentators either. They used to fill 60% of our live matches talking about how Kane needs to leave. What are they going to talk about now he’s gone? Probably how we are rubbish without him
Absolutely love this post mate good on ya!Been watching and loving this site for over 15 years, but never felt the need to post. But with today’s events, and the associated negativity, I felt the need to find a half full glass. I’ve supported this amazing club since 1978 when my dad took me to WHL for my first game to see us beat Bristol Rovers 9 nil in the old 2nd division. Despite the extraordinary start, I have been a true Spurs fan and have suffered and enjoyed everything since in equal measures. As others have said, we’ll survive Harry’s exit, like we have survived departures in the past, but I also think there may be some positives too. I am sure I’ll be proved wrong with this, and this message will haunt me at various points during the season, but here goes anyway:
- barring some kind of bizarre development, at least Harry will now not end up at another Premier League club in 2024. For me that would have been too painful, and too much of a risk to keep him for another year and hope he extends
- whatever people might think about Levy, I think he did what he thinks is right here. £100M+ for a 30 year old with one year left is crazy money, and money we need, particularly if a big chunk is up front. History tells us that we’ll be disappointed with the transfer activity in the next few weeks, but at least we have a chip on the table and some buying power
- perhaps stretching credibility a little, but I do wonder if Kane would have been completely suited to our new style. The 4 goals against Shaktar might make that comment a nonsense, but in Richy and Sonny, we do have players who can fit the style more obviously. Plus surely we’ll bring in someone else who also fits the bill
- Harry’s exit must also now give Ange a bit of a free hit and take some pressure off him, as expectations can never have been lower for next season. If the idiot Merson is anything to go by, we’ll be predicted to be mid table, and anything better than that will be progress. People already have huge sympathy for him, and he might get more time from the hatchet mobs at Fleet Street, particularly if he continues the brilliant press conferences
- the last time we truly got excited about our team was when the likes of Harry, Dele, Eriksen and Son were relatively unknown and there were no true ‘stars’ in our team. We have that young exciting team again, with no egos and no dinosaur manager holding back the enthusiasm
- we have no European football to distract us, and a rested squad, so we have time for the players to adapt to the boss’s plans. It’s a tough start to the campaign, but that may help us too, as the pressure may be off a little
- I just have a feeling this could be the making of Sonny, particularly if he’s made captain. He has often stepped up in the past when Harry was injured, and looked even more confident. This could be his chance to be our main man and return to the heights of the season before last
So, blind optimism at its best, but that’s always been my approach to Spurs. I’d rather be optimistic and disappointed than be pessimistic and proved right! COYS
Im 100% sure you typed out the broken leg part, then internally you said *Is that too much?...................yeah its too much, I know ill add in (in the nicest possible way).I've spent all day trying to get a read on how I feel about Harry going, watching this has put it in context.
I was lucky enough to have been there for some of those moments: and for that I will always be grateful.
Beyond that, I sincerely hope at his Bayern unveiling he slips on the stage, falls and breaks his leg (in the nicest possible way)
Such a clause seems redundant as any buyback worth a thing to Bayern would just be to have to accept our offer at the same value of another club and be able to talk to the player. He'd actually have to want to come back, and at a price that someone else is willing to pay. We'd have been better off with a sell-on as it has better value to us anyway, even at not even a massive percentage as it would mean you can also use it against a transfer back anyway, or get a payday.I hope Levy negotiated a clause to give Spurs first dibs when HK leaves Bayern.
Clearly he should be called Trigger.Don't call him Dave after Davidson Sanchez
It'll be like going back to school after the summer holidays only to find out that your best mate and his family had moved to some other part of the world....
You never forget him but you'll make other friends.
And there we have it, Kane money spent.
He might of stayedSo why play him in pre season games? Why not play Maddison with richy/Sonny up top
