I have no bad feelings at all for him leaving and am grateful he's not joining another PL club, which I'm sure was on his mind which could have tarnished his legacy here. I hope behind the scenes he is leaving on good terms.

Gutted not to be able to see what Ange could build around him, but life goes on and we need to ensure we replace his goals as best as we can, whether that be with a new shit hot striker or ensuring we score more throughout the team (both ideally!)

I hope to see him back one day, but for now we go again!

Really they just sold their two best midfielders and goal keeper, they get picked by big boys every season, yes I understand the disappointment but come off it
But they succession plan for this every year, making a massive profit on the ones they sell. And also knew exactly what they wanted in their next manager when potter left so didnt skip a beat in the change. Compare that to us for a moment.

Selling your best players doesn't make you a poorly run club.

Since the final we’ve spent the fifth most out of any club in the world. Net spend, only United and Arsenal above us. People can either say we’ll waste the money or we’ll not spend it, but they can’t say both.
Are you happy being the 5th best team?
5th biggest amount spent what about players sales..... Bale, Kane, Modric etc.

It’s still weird to me that no one but Bayern came in for England’s record goal scorer, World Cup golden boot, three time premier league golden boot, and previous premier league playmaker of the year winner. It must bug the fuck out of him, too.
Utd would've but they knew Levy would've made them bleed and they dropped out for exactly that reason. £120-130m would've been the Kane fee for a PL club I expect. Then other big PL clubs are either rivals we won't sell to or already have top strikers.

Reckon Marid would've been all over him too if it wasn't for the Bellingham deal and having Mbappe lined up for next summer.

More a quirk of timing and Levy's unwillingness to sell domestically than a comment on Harry's ability I think.

With Kane, Lloris and likely Holjberg off the books we should be in a position to go big on some recruits as our wage bill must be incredibly low for a club of our size.

I'd like four players in - a young striker, a top winger who primarily can play on either side, a young midfielder and a very very good centre back.

Yes we have a huge squad but if Levy gets his arse in gear we should lose 10 odd players over the next week or so.
Why are you setting yourself up for disappointment.

We've made our good cb signing in VDV, any further cbs will be back up (Lenglet/Tosin level).

No way we're buying a top winger.

And our cm is stacked.

We just signed a striker, and we bought our Kane replacement last year.

That's not true. United and Madrid did, were told the fee and said no thanks we'll take him for free in the summer. Bayern were the ones who knew they had to act now to stand a chance.

We’re not run by petrol states, and Bale and Modric were a decade ago. We’ve spent loads in recent years. We’ve just spent it badly.

I'm in no doubt they will spent the money. Ange wants another centre back so that's not wishful thinking, Holjberg it's widely repeated will be replaced by a form of a midfielder and then I personally would go big on the win option as Kulu doesn't convince me and I think Son would be lethal as a nine in Ange's system.

Some of the best times supporting Spurs was the Jol era where we didn’t expect much from our team but it was fun to watch. Maybe those days have returned.

I love your optimism mate but sadly i disagree on all your points.
But this forum is all about opinions that is what makes this site so wonderful.
No one knows the future, so we will have to wait and see COYS.

Going slightly against the grain here but I do believe we will spend a good chunk. Lloris & Hojbjerg are also close to leaving and then we need to shift 4/5 more to trim the squad. Who we will bring in I'm not 100% sure, but Levy will know the pitchforks will be out if he doesn't act very quickly. There is no way he doesn't bring in a couple more by UTD, otherwise the atmosphere could be toxic in our opening home game of the season.

This…….and apart from the rare gem every now and then I have zero confidence in that changing.

End of an era boys and girls. Time to close the door permanently!
Permanently? Possibly, but he might be back. At the moment, that might seem unlikely, but you never know. I'd bring him back if he's likely to be an asset to the team, but not simply for the sake of nostalgia or making a nice gesture to one of the club's all-time greats.
