Whether you understand the situation or not is irrelevant as long as Ange does.
His responses to questions about how the transfer is affecting his preparations have come across as level-headed and (most importantly) pragmatic. While he would obviously have preferred to have Kane, I seriously doubt he was not aware that the current situation would have been very possible/probable.

Let's see where we are on the 1st September.
Kane leaving whilst sad is good as long as we invest in tomorrow.
Did we actually think he would hang around forever?
Thanks for yesterday's memories, but let's build for tomorrow's.

Half expecting Kane to have a change of heart halfway into his flight and there will be 100+ pages when I get up tomorrow morning…

The funniest thing for me is that we sell him in the window we sign Maddison.
Like we sold Waddle when we signed Gazza.
I survived Greaves leaving
Mckay breaking his leg twice
White dying
Jennings playing for the scum
Hoddle Waddle Gazza and Bale all leaving
I will survive Kane leaving
I wish him well and will never forget him, but from here on in he is just another player to me,
Spurs will survive too and thrive
COYS
Amen! I survived the same and so did my club.

Levy doesn't actively want us to fail and under him we've built teams that have finished top 4.

I think he took us as far as we could go and we'd be better off with someone who both doesn't abuse human rights and is also willing to aggressively spend, don't get me wrong. But we sold Berbatov and Keane and built a top 4 team. We sold Bale and Modric and built a top 4 team. Levy wants CL to keep up that "brochure image" and he's clearly not incapable of making that happen.

With that said I'm sick to death of chasing top 4, as I feel it's all we've done for nearly 20 years. I don't give a shit about getting in the CL again if it's going to be what it was last season or like a QF exit. Past caring about it.
The thing Levy doesn’t understand is that it’s no good building a team to get top 4 because our rivals are building teams to win the league. Top 4 is their fall back position. Because we aim too low we are destined to fail more times than we succeed m.

Bizarre stick to beat him with given he was clearly injured

There are other times he hasn't done the job but that isn't the one
Yes he was injured but then he shouldn’t have started. That was weak management from Poch but by that time Poch had allowed a situation where Kane wasn’t so much working for Tottenham’s targets as Tottenham were working for Kane’s personal targets.

once upon a time we had a fresh new manager after a shit season, had a #10 who caused troubles and a #9 that was not reliable (and a record signing), we could only rely on a young striker coming through the academy...history repeats itself doesn't it😂

while it sucks that we are about to lose one of our greatest players, I take heart in one thing above all. the results from the eyeball test. In short order, Ange has taken a pathetic side and built a team that plays with intelligence, fearlessness and intensity. the contrast of the last 4 years to what we have seen so far is remarkable. Just remember what the end If looked like last season.

The first few months may have ugly moments especially if we don't have the defence sorted and firing on all cylinders. But with a few smart editions, spurs will be more than okay. we would be better with Harry no doubt But it is time to start believing again.
