2nd choice if they knew they could get Kane.
They’ve just spent £76m on hojland just can’t see it imo especially as owners are selling supposedly
£76m to United is nothing and will just drop him for Kane if they got him.
I'm not entirely sure Glaziers want to sell if they did i think it would of been completed by now

You have to think somebody has had a word in his ear and has tapped him up for next summer. That has to be a likely scenario - though also he may just want to see how it pans out with Ange but I think we would need to do something very special this season for him to sign a new contract.

If I were in charge of a Premier League club, knowing that Levy would charge me a premium to buy Kane now, I’d wait until the last possible moment (perhaps asking Charlie to be kept abreast should a bid be accepted) before offering Harry the world if he were willing to join on a free next season. That way I could get Harry AND disrupt Spurs’ plans for this window.

Why would he sign that? I'm not being facetious, I'm genuinely asking why you (and others) think he would sign a new deal before next summer?

It's a compromise. He obviously has no reason to sign it, but it also takes the power out of Levy's hands as much as if he didn't sign. The clause would have to be low enough to give Kane the pick of the litter though.

Something along these lines has always seemed like the outcome that would suit both Kane and the club, as Kane would maintain a similar degree of control over his future and the club would get another year to convince him to stay (whilst also guaranteeing a fee if he leaves). Prof said today that he's turned down our contract offers so, assuming one of them was structured along these lines, it doesn't seem that Kane is currently willing to go for it.

I wonder if Levy calling his bluff and accepting Bayern's offer changes things. Maybe they could get back round the table after the window shuts.

He should stay and see how we go this season.

On a free next summer he’ll have his pick, or if we do show enough he’d be happy to stay with us.

If he signs for Bayern and doesn’t like it, he’ll have way less freedom to change his circumstances.

I could be reading too much into it but i wonder has Kane been told to sit tight and see out his contract by a PL team for example Man Utd like Mbappe has been told by Real Madrid.
We all know Kane would prefer to win trophies with an English team.
If this is the case i would be fuming and would put him alongside Sol Campbell in my eyes seriously doubt it's in Harry's character though.
1) Nothing like Campbell
2) I think you’re reading too much into it and as ITK’s and other reports have said Bayern have left it too late and Kate and Kane aren’t happy about it because of their family and impending next baby situ so are weighing it all up and think it’s better to just stick it out for another year and re assess.

Fabrizio Romano said that we should know in a few hours because Kane doesn't want to fly on Friday or Saturday.

Can you imagine being Bayern if Kane say no because he doesn't want to fly with weekend travel?
He promised Kate he’s going to do the big shop and take the kids to a birthday party

You don't need to be ITK to know why. I love Spurs to the core but if I were Kane I wouldn't be signing a deal until I was sure I knew the direction the club were going and that Ange was the real deal. Absolutely no chance whatsoever. Especially when I knew I had the choice of pretty much every team in the world in a years time.
But then why not sign a new deal contingent on progress otherwise there's an out?

From a Bayern Munich forum:

What a pussy mentality, Jesus Christ.

This is the type of attitude why English/ the Anglo-Saxon fail outside of England . Anglo Saxons only understand their own culture can’t live outside it. Look at bale and Madrid. Who the hell fails integrating at Madrid lol… We should have gone for the killer Serb instead

I'm tired.

If this is actually true he’s a complete idiot. Him agreeing with Bayern on personal terms was the reason why this saga exists and has been going on for 2 months. Pulling off something like this at the last minute when one party has wasted resources on getting a deal done for so long is objectively such a shitty move.

There is a massive PR campaign going on to stay in PL; media former players are all in

THEY can't handle it ... how come he is going to play in nazi farmer league!!!!!??!??!?!

If really, after all this weeks spent on this transfer there is a situation right now where Kane is deciding on this on a sort of 50-50% basis whether to come or stay than we will have the worst 100 M EUR spent for a football player in history.

I ALWAYS doubted his ambition and I am still very afraid he might actually decides to stay…Crazy stuff

What a pussy mentality, Jesus Christ.

Some sore people on there. Especially the one about Bale who won what 4 CL's. Also, till very recently, all our media were trying to sell him to Utd.

This is all on Bayern. They tried to negotiate with Levy who only does this with incomings. Thought they could bully us into accepting a lower offer. No doubt this transfer would've been done if they agreed to the demands a few weeks ago.

Perhaps sign up with a 40m release clause if we fail to get champions league would be the best bet.

the biggest unknown is Levy’s actual attitude towards losing HK for free.
it’s easy to say he’s all about the money and so of course he would never let that happen. But he has not exactly worked constructively with BM to reach an agreeable amount (risking the deal falling through many times). And he hasn’t given any encouragement to any other teams.
doesn’t strike me as a man who knows a deal must be done otherwise we are massively exposed.

I think instead he thinks keeping HK is worth a risk - firstly because we have a better chance of a trophy/CL with him (the latter itself mitigating the loss of a transfer fee if he does walk away) and secondly because he believes that if we do demonstrate a marked improvement that HK will be tempted to sign a new contract at sometime between now and next May. Would HK leave us for Man Utd if we finish above them for example?

I’m now just grateful we have him for the season and looking forward to seeing what we can achieve.

if he walks away for free at the end, so be it. If it’s to Madrid, fair play to him. And if it’s to another PL team then fuck him and I look forward to Romero sticking one on him.

Haaland to Madrid & Kane to City next summer on a free.
Just going by the look of surprise on Pep's face when he thought H to Bayern was done.

Hope your right just putting out my manic theory not totally convinced about my theory.
My judgement could be clouded due to my lack of trust in Levy snd United 🤣
