It’s not though, as he said he discussed it before Paratici’s appointment.

I mentioned that he had discussed it previously, several hours before he released his latest video, so if he hadn’t mentioned it beforehand I’m either in cahoots with AG or my clairvoyance powers are improving! Hmmm time to get that lottery ticket! 😂
I believe verified facts. The earliest evidence I can find is NY Times/ Gazzeta November 2021 when Fab was well established in the job. Happy to be corrected. There’s lot of “we all knew this” and throwing arms up in the air, but not sure we did.

meanwhile good luck with the lottery! 👍🏻

I remember an interview with Levy talking about Paratici and the main focus was on Paratici’s negotiating skills.

It was definitely a worry.

Paratici did buy some good players but we bought full backs then a few months later hired a head coach who wanted wing backs.

It’s this lack of team building which is why I’m not too fussed about Paratici leaving, though I don’t expect it to get any better.
I'm not his biggest fan BUT there are mitigating circumstances. When it became apparent that we could get Conte I think we were all on board with a temporary hiatus in terms of developing a club philosophy to see where he could take us. But for that to work we had to get his players in faster. I never bought into Conte's 3 year plan.

Now that it hasn't worked we're left with a mishmash of a squad and I think it's imperative that there are no more opportunistic signings at any level. Everything simply has to fit into a well-defined philosophy.

I agree that there were reasons for it.

I remember when we had Arnesen and Jol and they talked about playing variations of 433 throughout the club and developing a style of play for the long term.

It very much frustrates me that we’ve never kept to any playing style or formation.

He absolutely is not lol
Are you ITK on this? Really all depends on what the relationship is/was with the club. I certainly don’t know but some sort of association cannot be ruled out. Maybe correct in as much as not in his full position.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

Someone said that he is coming back - there is no ITK on that either.

No matter how good a relationship Levy has with Paratici, there is no way Levy would bring him back anytime soon. He fighting enough fires atm without starting another one.

As far as I can tell, this 'coming back' business is based on one line. But then again, we're dealing with people who can't count to 12 without taking their shoes and socks off.............

"It remains unclear whether this change in Paratici’s plan could have any impact on his association with Tottenham after he already resigned from his previous post"

Nobody has said he's coming back. At least nobody who isn't a gibbering idiot or has a smidgin of credibility :D

Not sure where this belongs - but Juventus was docked 10 points (after the original 15 point deduction was overturned).
The italian league is so crazy. Juve docked 15 points, which dropped them way down the league (obviously). Then overturned, so Milan and Inter both bricking it as they'd be out of champions league. Now back again. Makes the Premier League approach to the City penalties and Toney ban seem quite sensible.

I really hate what the Premier League has become but with what's going on in Spain and Italy right now it feels like the best of the three big leagues

Just want to bump this thread 3 months later with some updates.

-zero official statement from the Club on Paratici outside the initial one in April
-zero news on a new director of football or replacement
-zero news on what capacity Paratici still holds in the club, rumors that he is still advising, rumors that we're still going after his list of players, but nothing concrete
-zero transfer negotiators at the club outside of Daniel Levy
-exactly one player sold (Harry Winks)
-zero clarity on who leads the recruitment division of our football club outside the scouting team.

Complete and utter negligence.

So…. Zero reason for the thread bump then?
A pretty big reason mate. We still have no clarity on who leads our recruitment division and no transfer negotiator after 3 months.

People are searching for answers all throughout the transfer forum on the slow progress on deals both in and out. Well, this is why.

I believe this situation and lack of any response to Paratici’s ban is the key driver.

Is he still gardening?

Beds & borders look amazing and his grass must look like Wimbledon, before they run about on it!
