With the greatest fear of bansticks and mod wrath, can I ask what happened to the Transfer Ticker? I have absolutely no idea what is going on with Kane and a quick nose around in this thread has me thinking we're getting £100m and Mbappe but World might end before the season starts.
A transfer ticker won't help. There's NO news about this, there's literally just bumfluff and opinions on this.

I remember when Henry left Arsenal for Barca. Wenger said Henry felt he didn’t have another rebuild in him and needed to compete at the top now.

That’s how I imagine Kane is right now.
Kane has been with spurs since he was a child

I think the attachment he has to us is multiple layers deeper than Henry

but ultimately life of a professional footballer is pretty short

Shame as i think he could have been a totti like figure for us - name sung through the ages

Has he? Didn't we take him from Arsenal?

I've heard absolutely nothing on the Kane situation but personal opinion is he leaves now. I don't see him signing a new contract and Ange does want it sorted ASAP! I'll say it again, this is not info, it's purely a gut feeling.

I always felt that he would probably stay with the caveat that if Ange wanted him gone we had to sell.

If it's true Ange would prefer to sell to get this sorted and Bayern offer 100m euros then I'd prefer we accept the offer and move on. Might be able to squeeze another 10m out of them by waiting a few weeks but we need this settled ASAP either way.

Ange also wanted in defensive reinforcements ASAP too and look where that situation is.

After a promising start to the transfer window, we seem to be paralyzed with the Kane debacle and it'll inevitably seep into the start of our campaign proper.

Well the Kane sale could potentially completely alter our CB plans and how much we can spend on that area. Especially if we are already debating whether or not we can bring both VdV and Tapsoba in and then a Kane sale allows us to do so.

I may get pelters for this but in today's game you can get goals in so many ways. If Kane goes, we'll need 2-3 players to replace him as has been said but if it's the only way we can invest big and overhaul the backline then I would still consider that a success. You can win things and build on a strong defense.

Looking back I still don't know how we didn't win something when we were firing on all cylinders. But as good as Kane, son, eriksen, and dele were our defense was phenomenal and was likely the reason we made so many finals and competed in the league.

Kane will always be the best I've seen wear the shirt and I want him to stay, but last year was really eye opening that you can have the best striker in the world and still not compete haha

If Kane goes and we get 2 exceptional CB’s plus the other money go on maybe another winger given Son will likely move up top with him and Richarlison competing for the role of striker that would be ok, not ideal but we cannot go into the season with the backline as is, it’s a joke.

Yeah maybe but what about the money we are going to need to replace Kane ?

The system replaces Kane just as Pochettino’s system replaced Bale.

We have multiple players who have scored goals either with us or with other clubs, Son, Richarlison, Maddison, Lo Ceslo and others have all been either productive with us or other clubs.

Ange will play AM’s so like Arsenal or City those players will pick up more goals. Kane is incredible but so was Bale but alot of our players have have not been used remotely correctly. Our middle and front has a lot of talent. Where we lack talent is our backline, we have to repair it and Kane is leaving either this season or next.

We have to at least consider it.

Im sorry but we really should be buying VDV and Tapsoba without selling Kane. If Kane goes then I would hope at minimum we would sign a good replacement striker and possibly at a stretch get a RWF to come in.
