Release clauses normally require full payment upfront, no? Guess very few buyers could do that.

And even if a release clause could facilitate a move, H would also get a smaller sign=on fee.

This is what is going to happen.

Kane won't leave this summer because he doesn't have enough options. Bayern are not attractive compared to some of the options he could have on a free and the bundesliga is not a competition that is highly revered. If he's bothered by not winning trophies it will be England or Spain that he'll want to do that.

He'll start the season with us and Levy will be trying to tie him down to a new contract with the money saved from Lloris and Perisic leaving. This will continue until December.

If Ange has us adapting well and we're pushing high up the league and still in the latter stages of the league cup he will sign before January. If we're doing not so great or it's taking longer to adapt then he won't sign and he'll not state his intention to leave until the end of the season where he'll either sign for Man City after Haaland has gone to Real Madrid or he'll sign for Real Madrid for 2 seasons on the basis that he can come back to England when Haaland leaves City.

You can put money on it

Not sure many bookies would take on a bet with so many different outcomes if I’m honest.

Gone onto l'equipe website and can't find any story about Kane so calling bullshit on it

A French source having inside info on a German club’s bid for an English player? I think not. Also, isn’t GFFN run by a trolling Arsenal fan?

As for the other news - as far as I know, Matt Law is not a good source for Spurs news. (And that’s being generous to him)

This is starting to feel very much like the summer of two years ago

Charlie doing his thing but leaving out the crucial detail of agreeing a price with us leaving his brother to deal with the aftermath.

Munich have clearly been given encouragement but I don't understand how they don't realise and how the hell Charlie doesn't realise how stubborn Levy will be over it.

Anyone with a passing interest in us could tell them that he won't even consider it for less than a hundred million pounds at a guess and that's just to get them to the table to talk.

They're just wasting their own time and ours with these bids and silly leaks.

While Law does seem to have a disliking for us to say he's not a good source for spurs news just isn't accurate. He broke Poch leaving and then Jose being appointed before anyone else and he has been very accurate on us ever since then. While I don't like his very negative slant on spurs in the past few years he is very reliable when it comes to spurs

It’s not about what others think it’s about the effect on our team/squad performances.

In an ideal world we keep him, significantly strengthen the squad (a we’ve started to do) and Kane signs a new deal.

However if we keep him and he doesn’t sign a new deal then from January he can sign a pre-contract agreement with anyone he likes and he moves for free next summer then we have the issue of replacing a world class striker with £0 from
Selling him rather than selling him this summer and using the let’s say £100mil to strengthen the squad.
But we could attract higher calibre of players/ striker, if his goals help us in to the champions league.
We can use the money that goes with qualifying for the competition.
He would be leaving us in a strong position?
I want him to come out and say “I’m giving 100% to spurs this year and will look at all my options at the end of the contract .”
We have a season to persuade him to sign with improvement on the playing staff and pitch performance.

Does anything surprise you with this guy?! He's an absolute 🤡 !

As Trix alluded to, we are clearly going to throw absolutely everything at Harry in an attempt to get him to sign.

We should know today what his intentions are and whether we can actually persuade him to stay or if he's adamant he wants to leave and won't sign a new deal.

As a side note, I mentioned the other day about a CB joining us before we fly out. I believe that's Friday so you would imagine if we were getting one in before then, we should hear something pretty definitive on that today. VdV is there ready to go so I imagine we can get that through pretty quickly.

Spills and marks as a decorative theme is an odd one. I wonder if he has fake skids stuck onto his toilet?

Harry Kane breaks the all time Premier League scoring record then he will cement a place in history, far more than winning a championship in Germany with a club that would probably win it anyway. I highly doubt with his eyes set on the Premier League record he is going to move while still having a few years of being at his absolute best. It will only get harder banging the goals in as you get older.

For this reason and the fact he will have all kinds of options in England in a years time, I highly doubt he goes anywhere despite all the nonsense stories flying around websites with dubious sources (none) which mainly make things up as the wind blows.

Pretty sure the club have an idea what he’s gonna say. I know his brother is an idiot but the club and him will have been talking. Harry will surely be in today for tests and light training. Not thrashing out a deal to stay or go. 🤷‍♂️

Can't believe some are accepting it and just like "let him go, we can't enslave him anymore!" *queue dramatic panoramic music*. One of the greatest strikers in the world, Spurs supporter as well and you want to just give him up. Bollocks to that, 'throw the kitchen sink' at him, let's convince him to sign a new contract. If not, we get one more year and are more likely to have 'success' with him than without.

We're damned if we do, damned if we don't. We sell, the media and some Spurs fans: 'Spurs will never succeed if they keep selling their stars, no ambition' etc etc. We don't sell, the media and some fans: 'Poor Kane, held hostage by that mean old Spurs, shoulda got rid and got some money for him, this is on Levy, etc etc.

If this were Liverpool, United, Chelsea, City, they would be lauding Kane for his integrity and commitment/loyalty.

Rashford is in exactly the same position as Kane and yet you don’t hear a peep from the media about that. He was meant to be in discussions for a new contract but still hasn’t signed it and he can join a foreign club free from January. Yet they do exactly that and he’s hardly looking like he wants to agree a new contract that urgently.

So, they've just gone from 70m eur, to 80, then 100 in a matter of days.

Sounds like bullshit guesswork, or if true, they are worried about kanes resolve.

No club seems to comprehend what he is worth to us. Until they do that there is no point them even bidding. Nothing has changed on that front.

I quite enjoyed ignoring this thread, Twitter and the Kane noise for a few days, well worth switching off from it all if anyone is bored of all the bullshit around him. Nothing has change and nobody has missed anything. It was so much easier on fans without 24 hour news.

It’s the placement of the pictures on the wall that gets me. The inconsistent spacing gives me hives. I’m really trying to cut down on the abusive language, so I’m just gonna say that if ever there’s a serial killer operating in the area, I’d start the search for clues in that office.
i was thinking the exact same thing

You would have thought someone with a lot of time on his hands, because let's be honest he is sponging off his brother, could at least make sure they were not wonky before the photo or better still put them up right in the first place. Maybe he does not have good attention to detail, but think we already know that one "H there is a clause in the contrat which allows you to leave if someone bids £1m, now where was that...."

Harry would be mad to commit to anyone right now?

He literally holds all the power in his hands and I can't see why he would want to give that away for Bayern or even us.

Be honest if you're his agent you're telling him to not sign a thing until at least January and probably later.
