I'm loving this, just to see the Leicester fans meltdowns.

I've seen them claim that they will have a more successful season, and that they have a bigger trophy cabinet.

😂

I'm still not overly convinced by the lad (although I'm happy it looks like we're getting him) but it has to be said that 40m is a good deal and it's good to see us moving early to address our issues.

Now if we can just get a centre back or two sorted in the next week, things will suddenly be looking a lot rosier.

Maybe it'll cut short some of the moaning in the general transfer thread about how everyone else is making moves but we're stood still?!

Just seen his twitter. He seems a lot mellow now than before, and can see him and Kane being good mates.

actually I can see him blending in well with our players on a personal level. Kind of reminds me of Ryan Reynolds. A face to punch, but actually a really lovable guy.

He just can't help himself, can he?
Just has to be constant bloody tweets!

(I don't do twitter, so maybe that's just the way it works? You've got to stay relevant? Bloody hell it's tiresome though).
He has built a hell of a following. Only way to monetize this is constant tweets. I assume he has a full blown staff that are keeping everything going night and day.

Staff training must just consist of different ways of typing “in the next days and hours “ or “here we go”

He must have. Surely he can't do this all by himself and still have something loosely regarded as a life?

God I'm old! 🤣

Que the tweets he said when he was 15 years old from opposite fans. You know they are coming.

Wonder if Harry had a wee word with him in the international break?

Great deal, if we get it over the line.

Finally, someone to replace Eriksen's creative output.

Also, I can see from his perspective, of all possible clubs to join, we were probably one of the more attractive options, because he is likely to start a majority of our games.

Arsenal probably had no interest. City don't need him. Man Utd are stacked in that space - again, no guarantees. Chelsea - that's just a bizarre revolving door of weirdness over there at the moment. Would avoid that like the plague. Liverpool? Only fits into Klopp's system in their front 3, and they already have 87,546 strikers. He could play in midfield, but with Mac Allister joining, there would be no guarantees. Newcastle, I think were always an option. Perhaps the biggest difference was they may not have been able to match his salary requirements because of FPP, and maybe being in London has a better pull.

Right place, right time.

Fuck 'em.

I did not particularly want him - but once he is here, he is one of us, no matter what he said, or who he said it about.

Media team did something with Doherty when he signed, I think they don't even go there with Maddison.

So where are all those that said Newcastle had surpassed us and Maddison would opt for them?

We are STILL a bigger pull and if we were prepared to spend 70m on players Im sure theyd still choose us.

I guess its only fair to be positive, it I am willing to be critical - but if the reports of a deal at £40M are true - good bit of business to wrap that up before pre-season.

Wow great deal at 40mill, Levy killing it this window.

Half you lot would have already just slapped down 40mill for raya, 55mill for maddison and 30mill for Deki. Luckily Levy has showed some acumen and saved the club 40mill or so!
