“We were not prepared enough”

Fucking seriously??? What else are they doing every day if it isn’t getting ready for the next match, and getting paid handsomely to turn out such shite at that.

Turning out to be a very painful season. Speaks volumes that I am more interested in Man City overtaking Arsenal than watching our useless bunch.

Just come in from a very satisfying day at work. Somehow I have become inured to the depths of incompetence we as a club are descending too, and the bottom doesn't look in sight. Don't think I can bear to watch this. I wonder if my wife wants to watch a romcom?

Watch it with her as best romcom she'll ever see....Levy dazzling us with new shiny things whilst f@#£ing us week in week out!

Did Stellini say we weren't prepared? If he did, he should just fuck off now.

0-5 after about 20mins is absolutely disgusting

This goes way way way way back and always comes back to 1 man

Feel sorry for all the poor sods that shlapped all the way up to Geordie land

ST will be queuing round the block to renew after that

Another incredibly bad decision from Danny boy to let Stellini/Mason run this show until the end of the season

Good tbh.

He’s been a sub-par captain at best, the armband should have been given to Kane several years ago.

We have no leadership at any level, from the boardroom to the pitch. Lloris is part of that.
I don’t believe Kane is a good captain either. Not sure who I’d appoint but I never feel GK’s or Strikers make good captains.

Anyone else feel sorry for their kids signing them up to this shit?
My eldest still wants me to go on Thursday as he doesn’t want to miss out on a Macdonalds! No fucking chance.

I said he can have a Macdonalds and we’ll watch the match on the box.

So the club’s captain refused to play. Regardless of how pissed off he may be with the coaches or other players that’s a disgraceful reaction if true.

On the overseas stream I watched the English commentator said he had hurt his hip, an old injury - or in my opinion an old wives tale

We went to Newcastle with 2 defenders and the jury is out as to whether Dier is a proper defender.

(We had 3 on the bench)

Fair play sitting through watching that lot again even on TV!

English not his first language so needs interpretation i think. I watched the interview and he said he was happy with the work done with the team on the formation leading up to the game so for the lads to serve up a performance like that it means they were not prepared (i interpreted as mentally) to go strong and compete in a game like this.

Get the sense he is trying to protect the players which he mentioned in his sky interview and took the responsibility for the formation change. But who knows who actually pushed for the change. Could be that the players themselves said they would be more comfortable in a different shape to stop being constantly overrun in midfield that leads to the dropping off and opposition teams dominating us in games. If that is the case then he is being very dignified and has the right to be raging at the players as they should have been ready to give a lot more from the first whistle instead of that embarrassment of a first 25mins.

Disciplined Dad, making him watch this nonsense!

And I'll bet Eric Dier didn't make it as a fast, skillful, rich professional on a diet of fast food...

Kane’s face said it all when Perisic gave it away on the edge of the D there. We’ve all got to wish Kane the best as he claps towards our fans. This guy needs genuine glory at a club that wants to win things.
Whilst Kane wasn’t no means a factor in this defeat I really dislike this habit of always absolving him of any blame for our general poor performances over a number of years.
